Painting A Clearer Picture 61

I need to clear the air about something here.

If you've been following me long enough, you'll remember me mentioning a few times that my photographs have been displayed in the International Photography Hall of Fame.

It recently came to my attention that a number of people have tried contacting the Hall of Fame to ask about my photographs, only to find out that the Hall of Fame has no records whatsoever of anyone named Burt Goldman.

The reason for that is simple--when submitting my work, I used a pen name. Instead of Burt Goldman, I wanted myself to be known as Jack Burton.

I did this to differentiate my photography work from my lecture material and writings, although I must admit I never expected this sort of misunderstanding to happen from it. I have already contacted the International Photography Hall of Fame and explained the situation.

So in case you were one of the people who got in touch with the Hall of Fame, I hope this paints a clearer picture for you =)

My work was originally displayed in the International Photography Hall of Fame in 1989. Apparently, over the years, much of it has been archived and in a few cases lost, or misplaced. Alas, there is only one image available there now to view - that would be my 30 x 40 image of a street in Dublin, Ireland that I named ‘Grafton Street.’

Here is a photo of it below:

I apologize for any problems this may have resulted in. Jack Burton, is indeed Burt Goldman. I have not created any new montages of late being quite busy with other things but I will have a new image for you shortly... and yes, the new image will be signed, Burt Goldman.

Sincerely,

Burt
