Dear Burt” Volume 22: Power Words & Parallel Universes 50

Hi Friends,

It’s time for another Dear Burt.

I hope you didn’t miss my edition last week, but I had something something special I wanted to share with you instead. I’m glad to hear that you liked my affirmation toolkit. I hope you have already started reciting them daily. Thanks for again for your positive comments and feedback.

Today, I wanted to share another one of my montages with you. I call it “Street in Paris.” You may have seen it before but I must say, It’s one of my favorites. I would love to hear what you think.

Also, today I have a special guest with me… ;-)

Some of you have been asking for a while “when can we see your barking dog?”  Well, today is the day.

Meet, Baby.

Ok, now onto the questions for this week. Today, I’m addressing two very interesting topics:

  1. The power of words
  2. How to learn a new language quickly and easily

As I received some interesting comments last week about my affirmation video, I wanted to take some time to offer some words of wisdom because it’s such an important topic.

Affirmations are wonderful things, but what makes them effective is the ‘power words’ used in them.

You all know that your physiology affects your psychology… and vice versa. Affirmations are powerful tools to change your physical AND mental state. If you constantly think “weak” in your mind and then shift to thinking “strong,” you will see a change in your attitude and physiology  (body language). This is what affirmations do. They change your thoughts, which change your physiology, which then reinforces the positive thoughts. Try this experiment at home at let me know how you feel.

Some of you also asked me how to quickly learn a new language. Today, I will take some time to address how this is done. Here’s a quick hint: it’s all about mental volume.

Here are the questions I’m addressing this week:

Dear Burt,

Thank you Burt! Affirmations changed my life — even though repeating simple words would seem to not make a difference, they really do!

After listening to myself talk (things my brain would repeat throughout the day), I realized how many other people were actually controlling my thoughts! Changing those negatives into positives has created lasting positive change in my life. I’m still living through the stuff I called into existence before I knew how powerful thoughts were, but know all this is temporary.

Two of the affirmations that I use are: I am grateful for helpful people. I am grateful for free stuff. So, you are the result of two years of positive affirmations and proof of the power of thought!

Have a fabulous day,
Marilyn

Dear Burt,

How can I become a fast learner whether it is a new subject matter or a new language?

Thanks,
Ikisha

Dear Burt,

I´m so happy to met you and so glad to be your disciple. I find a lot of love in your words, paints, photos, and all that you represent. I admire you, and definitely we need to be more and more enlightened in order to make a better world day by day, and working on ourselves. Recently, I started to apply for a job. I have been passed on a lot of opportunities because I want to be hired by this particular company but, I didn´t pass the english or math tests. I know I should be better, but I wonder if there is a faster way to learn languages through my Doppelganger. I try so hard to have good English, but I don´t know what happened to me. I always fail. Maybe it’s my fears, or because I do not believe in me. Same thing happens with Math. This is strange because I am an Industrial Engineer, but during the tests I took with different companies, I got nervous and have had very bad results. That´s why I can not get the job that I want. What would you advise me to do? Thank you very much Burt. Have a wonderful week and I send you a lot of love, light and peace.
Liz

Dear Burt,

I love your work. I have been studying and following you for a few years now. This may be a “strange” question, and I hope you can clarify/guide/enlighten me. About Quantum Jumping… is it possible that you are different in a parallel universe? I mean look completely different, and everything else is the same/or almost the same — but you somehow know it is still you? What then??Thanks for you help. A friend and I have been debating this for a while now and I would like your opinion (I thought about this before I heard about you or Quantum Jumping).
Greg

My Tools Are Yours To Use 42

Hi Friends,

It’s time to stare down the third and final enemy of New Year Resolutions.

Are you ready to put it down for good? Let’s begin…

This is the third enemy:

3. You don’t have the right tools to get you started

Staying focused on your goals can sometimes be challenging. There are countless distractions and temptations in life, all of which can put you on a detour, and leave you miles away from where you want to be.

Are you trying to lose weight?

“Hey that pecan pie in the fridge looks pretty tempting…”

Are you planning to start a new hobby?

“My favorite show’s on tv, I’ll do i tomorrow…”

Are you determined to give up drinking?

“It’s Happy Hour at the bar tonight, maybe I should treat myself one more time…”

*You need a set of tools or techniques to keep you focused, disciplined and determined.*

Some people use vision boards. Some write down their progress in journals. Some form a pact with friends so they can check up on each other.

One of my favorite tools that I have now made into a daily ritual is affirmations.

Every morning, without fail, I recite a list of affirmations out loud to myself.

It gives me a great start to my day, and it’s a constant reminder of the commitments I have made to myself.

Why don’t you give it a try?

I’ve put together a little affirmation toolkit for you. Below you’ll find a video and a PDF that I highly recommend you start using every day.

Watch the video first:

Now, save and print out this PDF document:

Picture 3

Download It Here

Once you’ve printed it out, add your own affirmations to it–the ones you committed to doing yesterday.

Don’t forget the commitment you made to yourself!

As long as you stay focused and determined, you’ll be achieving your goals in no time.

Remember to start working on your daily, weekly or monthly goals right away.

I’d love to hear from you. Send me a message in the comments section below, and tell me how you’re doing with your resolutions.

Remember, just as you are committed to your resolutions, I’m committed to helping you achieve them.

Lets take on 2010 together and make it the best year yet!

Sincerely,

Burt

Let’s Get Started On Those Resolutions… 29

Hi Friends,

After publishing yesterday’s blog post, I’ve received quite a number of New Year Resolution commitments from my dear readers…

Some of you want to lose weight. Some of you want to take your hobbies to the next level. Some of you want to become better people. Some of you want to develop new good habits.

I’ve gone through all of your commitments, and I know that each and every one of them is 100% possible — as long as you believe in yourself as much as I believe in you.

Now before we go even one step further, let me make this very clear:

I take these commitments very seriously, and I expect you to do no less than take massive action towards your resolutions. And since we have both made a commitment, we’re now in this together.

Remember the 3 Enemies of New Year Resolutions I talked about yesterday?

We’ve already dealt with the first, which was the commitment.

Today, we’re going to deal with the second enemy:

2. You don’t know where to start

Knowing where to start may seem daunting at first. Let me give you an example.

Weight loss is a very popular New Year Resolution, so let’s use that as a case study.

Let’s say you want to lose 30 pounds in 2010. You know more or less how to get there — you’re going to have to lose weight, exercise more, and change your eating habits.

iStock_000002300898Small

But the fact is, none of this can happen overnight. You’re not going to lose 30 pounds in a week, a month, or even 2 months. Trying to do so wouldn’t just be unrealistic — it may even be unhealthy!

And what happens if you try to do it anyway? You get demotivated. You begin to think your goal is unrealistic. You lose hope, and slowly but surely move back to your comfort zone.

Instead, you should start by making small and gradual lifestyle changes. The idea here is to move towards your goal in a sustainable manner, so you remain motivated, and don’t get scared by how big and scary your goal may be.

How do you do this? You break down your one big resolution down into a collection of mini resolutions that give you small but constant reminders that you’re moving towards your goal.

So if you want to lose 30 pounds, you could start in January by cutting out snacks like potato chips, and making sure you take a brisk walk at least once a week.

Once you’ve spent a month or two getting used to this routine, you could sign up at your local gym.

After that, you could commit to exercising at least 3 times a week. You could buy yourself a bicycle and take up long distance biking. Maybe even take up martial arts, or yoga.

…And because you committed to a set gradual yet consistent steps, you’ll suddenly realize you’ve lost that 30 pounds without ever having to stress about it!

My key message to you here is, big changes don’t happen overnight — they happen through small but consistent steps that add up over time to give you the results you want.

This doesn’t just apply to losing weight, it applies to anything you want to achieve in life.

Now, let’s apply this concept to your resolutions.

Take the resolutions you committed to yesterday, and break them down into daily, weekly and monthly goals. You can choose your own pace, as long as you’re confident that you can reach your goal by Dec 31st 2010.

Next, turn these mini goals into affirmations. For example, if you’re committing to take a brisk walk at least once a week, write it down like this:

I will take at least 1 brisk walk a week until December 31st 2010″

This makes your big goal seem more manageable, doesn’t it?

The good news is, daily, weekly and monthly goals only get easier the longer you stay committed to them — which means after a while, you’ll actually be looking forward to those weekly walks!

Tomorrow, we’re going to confront the third and final Enemy of New Year Resolutions. Stay tuned :)

Sincerely,

Burt

The 3 Enemies Of New Year Resolutions 55

Dear Friends,

How’s this for an eye-opening statistic?

Studies show that a whopping  88 percent of people who make New Year Resolutions fail to accomplish them. In fact, most people already give up on them before Valentine’s Day!

We’re almost at the end of January, so I must ask you…

How are yours coming along?

Have you cut down on or stopped a bad habit like drinking, smoking or snacking?
Have you began to lose those extra pounds?
Have you started learning that new hobby, or building the foundations for that new business?

iStock_000011237798Small

I hope you’re doing better than most people, because if there’s one thing many of us are good at, it’s making excuses!

How many times have you heard someone — or even yourself — saying something along the lines of…

It’s still early in the year, I’ve got plenty time to catch up.“
“It’s too difficult. Who am I trying to kid?“
“I’m not going to force it. If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be.”

Even worse, some of us don’t even bother making an excuse! We just sweep them under the carpet and try our best to forget them.

But really, you’re not just sweeping your resolution under the carpet — you’re also sweeping away any hopes of becoming a better person.

So why does this happen to so many people?

Let me tell you the truth — every broken New Year Resolution always boils down to at least one of the following reasons…

I call them ‘The 3 Enemies of New Year Resolutions’:

1. You are not 100% committed to taking massive action

2. You don’t know where to start

3. You don’t have the right tools to get you started

Now I’m going to let you in on a little secret…

One of my New Year Resolutions was to help you achieve yours
:)

And that’s why over the next couple of days, I’m going to tell you exactly what you need to do to take down these ‘Enemies’, and finally start achieving your New Year Resolutions.

(And trust me, it’s a lot easier than you might think!)

We’re going to start with the first step…

I need you to make a commitment.

In the comments section below, write down your list of New Year Resolutions. They can be as big or as little as you want them to be — as long as you are 100% committed to achieving them.

Start your comment with the following line:

Burt, I am 100% committed to achieving the following New Year Resolutions by December 31, 2010″

And then, just continue writing down your resolutions in a numbered list.

Can’t wait to hear from you :)

Sincerely,

Burt

Dear Burt” Volume 21: Jumping Into Parallel Universes 54

Hi Friends,

I sure hope you are doing great this Friday. Well, here we are for another edition of “Dear Burt.”

FIrst things first, I would like to share my latest piece of work artwork with you. Last week, you saw the unfinished version of this painting. I actually took the picture of this 1000 year-old light house in Greece quite a few years back. I would love to know what you think of the finished piece.

Now, onto other things.

Today, I will talk about the act of “jumping” into a parallel universe to meet your Doppelganger, or twin self. This is something I call Quantum Jumping (do let me know your experiences if you are already one of my Quantum Jumping students — I love to hear from you!).

Before going any further, I would like to remind you of something very important.

The whole purpose of jumping into another universe to visit your Doppelganger is to harness their positive vibration and align their rhythm with your own.

Remember: everything in life has a rhythm.

Every thing, every place in the world and every person has a different rhythm. Some people vibrate at a higher rhythm than others. For example, people who are in a good health, have a particular rhythm that is far different from someone who is ill. Quantum Jumping gives you the ability to tap into the rhythm of whomever you choose and bring it back with you.

It is an extremely powerful skill to master — and anyone can do it.

Here are the questions for this week.

Dear Burt
Thank you for sharing the wealth of information that you have gathered over your lifetime. This is all very fascinating to me and does seem a little “out there” at times, but I am choosing to have an open mind and explore your findings further. I just have two questions for you: If Doppelgangers are twins of ourselves in parallel universes, why do you have to imagine them through intention? To me that is simply an imaginary ‘friend,’ perhaps another version of ourselves, giving some sort of direction. Also, if I can visit my Doppelgangers, why haven’t they ever come to consult me? I have wisdom to share. Thanks!!Deborah

Dear Burt
Thank you for all the good things you share with us. I bought your MinBox and Healing Guide but I can’t visualize white or bright light. Please give me some  hints how can I get it or associate with something. I tried verbalizing it, but it doesn’t work. Also if you can clarify, when we start meditation and exhale, should we do that through nose or through mouth, or it doesn’t matter, what is the best way? I wish to learn more from you if it’s possible in person as I think you’re the best so far, since we’ve been enlightened with “The Secret”.
Thank you a lot,
Rada

Dear Burt
I am really enjoying the Healing Triangle course. One question about energizing water for healing. If I don’t have a regular glass on hand can I use a plastic glass? Also how can I use the glass of water technique if i am working with someone using distance healing?
Thanks Burt I really enjoy all of your materials.
Ron Daack

Dear Burt
I have just completed reading April Moon, and I am still basking in the “afterglow.” Thank you seems so inadequate to express my appreciation to you for this most unusual and wonderful gift. You are truly a modern-day teacher of the highest order. Continuing blessings to you.
Betty Lams

Dear Burt
I read the whole book of Good Bye April Moon and it was WONDERFUL!!! Now I want to read the other books — you are so gifted and talented. I loved the characters and the plot. Thank you for the gift. Much love and hugs. Janice

Dear Burt
Hi Burt, I love the programs I have purchased, still not through them all yet.?I remember I used to go and look at different dimensions, rather feel as vision has always been a problem, but somehow just know what is there. This was done purely as visiting and looking around. There is one dimension that is just pure love and is a delight to veg out in. However, some nights I found I was leaving through my feet and being taken to different dimensions and one in particular comes to mind, I was not allowed to come back to my body until I had completed 3 different healings, one per dimension I was in. The 3rd one was having to send energy to someone who had passed away and they were being carried out of the house and down the cobbled street. I sent this energy and the person came back to life, and instantly I re-entered my body. I know I have been long winded in this, but I was thinking, if this can happen, I wonder if one could dimension jump to the healthy self and request the healthy self to align and integrate their vibrational match to our current self. Especially as we are one anyway, just a different dimension. Your thoughts on this would be helpful. Many Blessings to you
Robyn

Dear Burt,
Thanks again Burt. I have a question. I have been studying your material for 3 or 4 years and from another spiritual teachers like Abraham Veronica… all very helpful. Today I consider myself happy, peaceful in the middle of what society call problems but why if I am more enlightened, more spiritual things around my life it seems crumbling. Thanks
Connie

Dear Burt
Thank you so much for the copy of your book! The book in its entirety is now accessible on your site (for those having problems before). I can’t wait to read it. My question is this. Once an event has occurred in our lives is it possible to reshape or erase that event through an intention exercise? For example, I recently went on a job interview and am waiting to hear back. There are a few interactions I would do over given the chance. Can I reshape them and possibly affect the decision process through implementation of a mind exercise? Or is this just wishful thinking? Thanks Burt. Much love your way!

Dear Burt” Volume 20: Sleep Meditation 55

Hello Friends,

Well, here we are with the 20th edition of “Dear Burt”. Hard to believe it already second Friday of the year. I hope 2010 has found you well and that you have all started your New Year’s resolutions.

First of all, thank you dearly for all the nice comments your left regarding my “Good Bye April Moon” excerpt. I’m so happy to know that most of you read it and loved it! A few of you asked where you could buy the entire book. Well, as I explain in my video below, that site of mine is not commercial (it’s purely a place where I can share my work with you) so there’s no possibility for you to order the physical book. But, today… I have a surprise for you. Watch my video below to find out what it is!

Today, I will be discussing the subject of sleep learning and energizing water for healing. That seems to be a really popular topic these days.

Before going any further, I wanted to share something with you. One of the most common problems I hear from people who have recently started meditating is the tendency to fall asleep during a meditation. Well, fortunately, this is hardly a problem. In fact, when you fall asleep, you spend about 10 minutes at the Alpha level. When listening to a meditation at the Alpha level, you are actually get 10x more out of the meditation than someone who is listening to it wide awake. So, the next time you start to drift off during a meditation, don’t worry. You might be benefiting more from it than you think. ;-)

Now, here are the questions I will answer this week:

Dear Burt,

Loved the excerpt of “Good-Bye April Moon.” Would you do better by telling us how to order a copy from you? I read the excerpt, but didn’t see a way to put a copy in a shopping cart. XXX’s & Many Blessings!
Cindy

Dear Burt,

Thanks for the New Year’s gift. I immediately read the Good-Bye April Moon excerpt. Now, please, where can we get the book?
I have been a fan since Supermind in New Orleans. I appreciate the classes I took and all the recent products I have bought–incredibly helpful and the weekly videos are such a treat. A most Happy New Year!
Kerry

Dear Burt,

Okay Burt, I give up… I went to your book site. I loved what I read but where do I place my order to buy your books? What are the prices? You are a fabulous piece of work yourself! Hugs to you
Janice

Dear Burt,

I have just accessed your book “Good-Bye April Moon.” Much of what you say would be very useful if I could use it when I train people who care for vulnerable adults (those with mental infirmity, learning disabilities, physical disabilities etc). This would help them to see that they have power over those they care for, however, benign and to think about this and reflect on and improve their work to empower the people they work with. What are the copyright limits/rules on this work? Thank you.
Margaret

Dear Burt,

Always look forward to your Friday treat! I just purchased the Healing Triangle and I have the same “problem” with it as with some of your other talks. As I sit and listen to headphones or speakers, your soothing voice relaxes me and actually puts me to sleep. I wake at the end of the tape, somewhat frustrated that I missed 10 or so minutes. Did my subconscious mind still hear the complete lecture? Your thoughts please. Best wishes for 2010 and it will be better than before! Thanks.
Jean V.

Dear Burt,

Could you possible share with us your technique for clearing acne? My son suffers terribly from it and I am quire sure the causes are not just physical as I also used to have the same problem (although his is much more severe). I would very much like to help him.
Milena

Dear Burt,

I do like your question you gave us to use. How about a suggestion for rephrasing it for better results by saying: “how much better can you do?” Happy new year to YOU Burt … and friends!  CAN YOU DO ANY BETTER?

Dear Burt,

Thanks for the thoughts. I will read the chapter to see how it pertains to me. My question is sort of weird. I don’t have much luck “visualizing” things. Is there a “work around” for this while I learn, somehow, to visualize? Is visualization possible?
Tom

Dear Burt” Volume 19: Happy New Year! 100

Hello Friends,

Well, it’s finally here! 2010 has arrived.

I just can’t believe how fast this past year has gone. I want to take this opportunity to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for staying with me on my journey. I look forward to many more great things to come in the next year!

This week’s “Dear Burt” is a bit different. Since there were no questions last week, I decided to share with you some words of advice and offer a couple of little gifts as my way of saying thanks for being my most loyal followers.

For the last 50 years, I have been traveling the world and meeting and studying spiritual masters from every inch of our planet. Now, at the age of 82, I’m ready to share with the world what I have learned. I started this blog to be able to share with you my most valuable teachings and insights I have gained over the past few decades. Here, you’ll find plenty of valuable information on meditation, energy healing, spirituality, and my latest revelation, Quantum Jumping. I look forward to connecting with you and I sincerely hope you enjoy being a part of this blog.
