The Power of Intention: “Dear Burt” Volume 35 70

Hey Friends,
Today, I will be discussing the Power of Intention over a cup of joe! :-)
In life, what really matters is your intention!
If you want to heal, you have to set the intention to heal in your mind. If you want to find the one, you have to believe in your ability to attract the right one.
It doesn’t matter what you want to do as long as you have a strong intention. When you set an intention and act on it to demonstrate your commitment, amazing things will occur.
It’s time to change the way we think and speak about our dreams and desires.Transforming a conversation, just like manifesting a dream, begins by setting an intention. Your intentions will assist you in taking greater control of your life.
Before I get to the video, here are the questions that I’ll be answering this week.
Dear Burt,
My question mirrors Nora's earlier comment, that "I am a pitifully slow learner." My dilemma right now is meditation. There are thousands of meditation techniques and instead of stilling my mind, I find myself meditating on what technique should I use. I think that just keeping my mind still, gently pushing away thoughts, with no goal in mind is good enough. Is it?
David
Dear Burt,
I have a 98.9% positive viewpoint of you Burt Goldman! Thank you so much for your "beingness." My question is along these lines. Like many others I was intrigued a few years ago by "The Secret" and found myself researching many of the authors and spiritual leaders featured in the program. I learned a lot of information and techniques from studying many of them - but never really connected with any on the level of wanting to BECOME LIKE them. This inspiration was confirmed when I went and saw James Arthur Ray speak live. Having read his books and listened to his seminars I was excited to meet him in person. When I returned home my wife excitedly asked me how it was and my reply was "he was a turkey".
It was no surprise to me that a few months ago 3 people died at one of his events and he has taken no responsibility for the deaths. In fact he has done nothing by callously defended his actions during the sweat lodge ceremony.
I would be interested in learning how you pick out "the turkeys" and discern between the people saying the right thing and those who are "being" the right thing.
Thanks as always...
Brandon
Dear Burt,
Can you please, please, please help us single people to find the one? I have Mind Box and would like to know which one will help me the most and how often should I meditate to get results. I would like to know which one Fred Miller refers to as an exercise in Mind Box about “tapping with your lover." There are too many techniques to decide what would be the best to use it.

Love and The Principle of Polarity: “Dear Burt” Volume 34 77

Hello Friends,

The internet never ceases to amaze me... The ability to connect with you from all over the world, at any given time, is just incredible! Far too easy to take it for granted, that’s for sure. ;)

Let’s start out with what seems to be a routine: one of my paintings. This is “Forest Creek 2”, which I just finished yesterday. I plan to have it up on my website soon but in the meantime I’d love to hear your thoughts here.

Last week, we were talking about tapping and vibration.

Apparently, many of you have been using tapping to heal yourself... I’m thrilled to see that my teachings can be of benefit to some of you in these important areas of your life.

Today, let me move on to another principle; "The Principle of Polarity". This principle embodies the truth that all manifested things have two sides, two aspects or two poles. The principle dictates that all things happen opposite and in fact, a pair of opposites are the same, only differing by a single degree.

While this theory explains a lot of physical manifestations, the same principle operates on the mental plane.

So let’s take one of the most common and radical concepts that we have, LOVE.

Before we can polarize love, we must understand what Love is. Love is, after all, a positive viewpoint. Once we’ve established that Love is a viewpoint, we can then polarize it.

i.e. The unconditional love from a mother for her child would be 100% positive on the scale of polarity; where the mother can see no negatives. While the complete opposite, or the polar opposite, would be hate- where one can see no positives.

There are degrees of love and hate, and there is a middle point where we tend to use terms such as 'Like or Dislike,' which shade into each other so gradually that sometimes we are at a loss to know whether we 'like' or 'dislike' something or someone.

So how all of this can help you in life?

Being aware of the existence of this great principle will enable you to better understand your own mental states, and those of other people. You can see that these states are all just matters of degree.
And to add to that, it’s even possible to change the vibrations of things.

Therefore,  you can raise or lower your vibration at will to change your mental states.

I sincerely hope you got something from this week’s lesson and would love to hear how successful you were with these concepts; love and polarity.

See you next week and please comment below to tell me what it is that you would like me to talk about next week.

Sincerely,

Burt
