Some of you may already know this, I have a birthday next month. Yes, that's right. I'll be 83 in September.
So I sat down to compose something for Dear Burt this morning, and I was feeling rather nostalgic.
You can call me a romantic if you want to. I just closed my eyes and started reminiscing about my life, my travels, being in the army, being a monk, practicing yoga, hypnotism, alpha thinking . . I could go on.
I really wanted to share something about me and my life thus far with you. Listen to it and rejoice in gratitude for all of life's past.

Burt, that ancient Greek lighthouse reminds me of somewhere I've seen before in my visualizations. I even did a painting of it, though it was sort of abstracted as a view from the inside of the lighthouse, but your picture seems to give me the sort of feeling I had approaching the structure, as when sitting on the rocks just before it.
That was a reminiscent piece of playing. It was pretty cool and content, though, so I don't think I had a whole lot of emotion evoked...but you achieved the goal of reflecting upon times.
p.s. I'm grateful for freedom. The more I learn to use it the more I realize it could very well be an infinite gift.

Dear Burt, I closed my eyes and your music took me back to when I was about 10 yrs old (i'm 52 now) back in my country (Cuba). My dad & granny wanted for my mom, my sister and I to learn to play piano & this made me think of when we used to play for them, although we were only able to take two years of classes. They both are deceased now but this was like a concert for them. Thank you. My dad used to teach me things like the ones you teach here. Thank you for the unbirthday gift. Your music has so many overtones of familiar songs and yet never quite recognizable. I heard a few bits of "My Fair Lady" and other musical show tunes. It seems that what one hears in your music depends on where you come from musically. I have a very extensive musical theatre background, so that is what I hear. Others seem to have a more developed jazz background and so they hear that part of your gift. It is amazing how it metamorphizes to the listener and speaks to each of us individually.

Burt, I had a strange reaction to your music. I cried. I cried because of how far I have come, how many obstacles I have overcome, and I realized I am at the start of a new life. I am starting my own home health care agency (still looking for an investor but I am ready to launch) in Greensburg, PA and I have started to hone my healing skills (which is my true calling). I have learned so much and yet I have so much more to learn. I thank you for everything you have done for me and the thousands of people who want to be the best they can be. Hi Burt, I think its amazing how well you play the piano and never a lesson!
I do appreciate the music but I miss some of the other types of "Dear Burts" where you give advice on using the techniques from the MindBox programs, you do a wonderful job of conveying their uses in the programs but I really enjoyed the videos on Fridays, they would be a little more off base and give good practical experience, please continue those too, right now I need to increase my ability to recall information of a highly technical nature for medical school, could you please include that in one of your near future Dear Burts? Thanks!
By the way, I have the MindBox programs and they are wonderful! I highly recommend them to everyone.

Burt I must say that I think that you are remarkable. It is hard to believe that you never had piano lessons. With some many talents such as painting, piano playing, I also heard you sing something somewhere, possibly on a Dear Burt. I have sung professionally and I think that you are astounding. I enjoyed your jazzy music and am grateful for the moment you share with us. It brought me to times in piano lounges at business events and romancing evenings. I got that we are not good at something but as good as anyone as we discover talents we didn't care to believe they were.
This is a liberation for talents that were ready to release like underground water pressures ready to burst. It doesn't have to be all planned out like to imitate superstars. To avoid critique I thought it had to be perfect but what is perfection? I believe it's discovery, a new perspective from the viewer, teach people to view differently. Where does the music come from I've wondered.
As I listened back over your songs, I know they are not songs in the conventional sense, but they are songs. Songs of the heart, mind and soul.
So where does the music come from? Well I think I know, and I know too how and why we identify and respond in the ways we all here in the blog do.
We are all like sponges soaking up water, give the sponge a squeeze and it lets go what it has absorbed.
That's what I think you are doing Burt, in your journey through life you have soaked up so much by way of knowlege, emotions, the highs and lows of life, travel, and experienced people, places and things we here never will. You are now letting go, and all that stuff is pouring out via the music. And very powerful stuff too.
This last piece took me on a mind journey from Plymouth in Devon UK to the Highlands of Scotland and I saw people and places from 40 odd years ago. Saw some good times, fun times and one or two sad times from then.
As the music came to an end I retured to the present with a little sadness for some of the past, yet gladness, happiness for those memories your music brought back to me. And gladness too that you do what you do for us Burt.
Im looking forward to your album Burt.
Going back to the money music. I've discovered that if I am putting energy into a project or sale and I have listened to the music at the start of my day I get good results. The more positive energy I put in the more return I'm getting. And like Monica Lynne says, in a post here, I too am getting incredible business results this week! Over $6000.00 Thursday, more today and I've got Saturday to go yet. And I've got more business suddenly coming at me from all round town to quote for next week! And an old project has come to life and could be the winner I think it is. Need to do some Quantum jumps to get the best results.
I think I need to lie down for a bit, maybe do a Quantum Jump... for Joy?!! and energy, to get through all the stuff I have to do.
Burt's stuff works folks, and as Burt says "if it works USE IT! simple as that.

Thanks, for this beautiful piece of work, I love to listen to piano music. But, this time I felt a peace that I had never felt before. It took me back to when I was in my younger days. Dancing in my room, driving out into the fields with the top of the car down. The wind felt good and fresh when it was hitting my face. I had never gone back to my younger days, because I only have memories of bad things that happened to me. I'm very surprise that I expierence peace, joy, happiness.

I have enjoyed your insights and friendship without your awareness of it. Trust me when I tell you that your mission
and path you have chosen were the right one(s) for you in
this life.
I am grateful for the continuous stream of love I've been given since before my birth! No matter how difficult things may have
been, I only choose to receive them as gifts and things I needed
to learn, and never forget. I do believe in the philosophy of
" PAY IT FORWARD" and do it every single waking moment of
my life.
As you have, I have been fortunate to have received many blessings and life experiences with a quest for knowledge
and information that is insatiable, always was and always will
be.
I have decided to attend University for the first time, at my current age of 79. My study will be toward a degree in
Psychology. I intend to use it as with everything else, to
help others achieve the calm and peace of mind I generally have.

Burt please if you will could you tell us more about the affirmaton "Every day in every way I am getting better and better." I know it comes from Emil Coue but I believe there is a lot more power in it tan people are aware of and I know you are aware of what I am talking about too. Thankyou Burt for your lovely trip down memory lane with your nostalgia music. I travelled along with the music even went right back to my childhood. I felt that nearing the end you were really racing along as though there was no tomorrow. Great stuff - what date is your birthday? Mine is on 18th September and I will be 70.
