Saturday was a "girls" day out with my daughter and four granddaughters! We went to the local market for fruits,
vegetables,plants and flowers. We then went shopping for clothes and treats before having a lovely "THAI" dinner.
I haven't had this much fun in ages!

4th of july holds special meaning for me. I am an immigrant into the USA and love my new country.
I don't care for fireworks as it spooks my animal friends. I BBQ all the time so today I'll cook on the stove. I spend most of today reading about the founding fathers and their work leading up to July 4th 1776.
I recently read that a large portion of the population does not know what country we declared independence from.
That is sad! I study history (recent and ancient) because it is far more interesting that idolizing celebrities!

happy independace Day, i really like to help people and this is my problem now, all of my family and friends get used to that and left me with no time for myself, i feel tierd i need to relax and have time for myself away of friends and family. i need to relax, but what should i do without them, can i feel happy with no one around?

The only time I have sensation of freedom is when I fly a plane. On 4th of July I watch fireworks from above. My life is in my hands and all the problems far down belowe.
I will be working security @ EPCOT to help ensure that everyone has a safe holiday that are there.
Happy July 4th Holiday weekend. I am celebrating with my dogs at home. It is there first July 4th in there new home so, I want to be sure they are okay, and don't freak out. I am working on my health (1st choice), and started back to the gym, after 3-4 months. I really need the support. I use to love it, and some how slipped away. Now I'm back, and starting out in the pool! hahahaahhahahahhaha! I love it!

For me I will be staying in on the 4th of July,I will call family members out of state and wish them well as they will be doing the barbeque thing.
Probably family and relationships would be where I'd most like help... but all are important, and currently with the economy as it is and my husband (temporarily)out of work, money has been pressing too. Something MUST already be in the works for us, even if we are not yet aware of it...

My wife ahs going thru lung cancer treatments fro the past one year. Is there any thing that can be doen using any of your techiques sucha s hypnosisor viuaalize a cure or meditation etc. that can be tried to melt away the cancer cells, and keep them away from regenerating in the body. Also, to deal with depression syndrome...
I just heard fro the firtst tiem in one year the docors feel they last drug may be working (rtrend wise)..There is no such thning as guaranted cure in western medicine. Is there one in in Spiritual techniques?

I could have easily checked 3 of those, but none of them really get to the Heart of my Problem. You like to say "Nothing works all the time". In all my years of Study (since the late 50's) and after spending ten's of Thousand's of Dollars Sadly I will admit I have not found anything that works "Most" of the Time.
That's what I need is "One Tool" that "Really Works most of the Time". Like the Hammer. With a Hammer and some Nails you can Build things, most anything in fact as long as it is made out of Wood. Of Course it helps if you know how to use a Rule, Square and Leval but even with out much knowledge with these you can still build things.
With One Good Tool that Really Works and a few others on the side we could really work on any of your choises.

I'm recuperating from a recently broken leg w/ surgery, so I'm stuck inside the house right now. But my nieces are in town, one w/ her 2 year old & so they are in & out and spending time w/ them is a great way to spend the 4th. Am also taking a month long course in psychometry w/ daily exercises & lessons, and today am going to be holding objects my family have picked up from outside & other places, so I'm keeping busy even though relegated to the house. As I live on the beach & the island is over run w/ people this weekend home is where I'd rather be anyway. And if I'm lucky, there will be a Braves Game on today!

Spending some quiet time at home, catching up on things that I don't have time to do otherwise.
I work at a Health Food Store/Wellness Center. A lot of people come in to buy Bach's Rescue Remedy for their dogs who are frightened by fireworks. Just a drop or two under their tongue, depending on size, calms most dogs. Great for calming them during thunderstorms, too. Of course, it works for us humans,as well, when we are stressed!
I love the ocean, so I am going to the beach and just look at the waves and meditate.
There is no long weekend in Australia, so I won't be celebrating. Well, I might celebrate the end of exams at uni!

This weekend is about relaxing and enjoying the weekend at home. I have three dogs and they need that special attention when they start to hear those firecrackers. I make sure the TV is on for the dogs and now that my kids are older they will be out and about. My husband and I will be watching something great on TV with the animals this weekend. We will toast for our freedom and for the gratitude we have in our hearts for those who made this country FREE for all of us.

The answer to your question was a toss-up between health and money- And I chose money because if I had the money I could take care of my health- I need money to build my business-, travel . and get my husband the medicine he needs for lukemia- I could visit friends, I could even go to Lourdes. I could relax and I could get my children who are needy the homes and things they and their kids need, I could pay for my Grand kids college education. I'm not greedy asking for money; I could do lots of good with it- thanks
One great teacher was asked, "What is Truth?", or so it is supposed to have happened. I ask what is Freedom? Freedom in the USA, or in Australia? Ultimately the only freedom we have is spiritual freedom. All the other freedoms are curtailed by physical limitations, or laws of the land, or our faith, if we have one. The 4th of July doesn't have any significance for the Australians. My two main issues at present are health and money. The Mind Movies team think they have the answer to both. The same great teacher is suposed to have said, "Seek first the Kingdom of God" however you wish to interpet that.

ANIMALS ARE SCARED OF FIREWORKS. All kinds of animals, birds, cats, dogs etc, wild animals and pets. It includes these dogs that HELP BLIND people - also these dogs go nuts in that bangs. This is such a primitive habit originating from times when people treated animals with cruelty. Doesn’t enlightment include animal world?

A question: Burt, you asked for ideas for videos. Can you do something for those of us who are unemployed? I know 10 minutes or less is very little time. I watch your videos and they help me feel better about myself. I know there are lots of people unemployed right now, somewhere in the millions. Some of those were lucky to get some work, usually part time or minimum wage and without benefits. Any work is better than no work. I know that unemployment is a nasty problem that will not go away any time soon. Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated by all of us. Thank you!

I probably won't do anything this 4th. My daughter and two granddaughters had to move today 10 hrs. away because she could not find work in GA. I feel so bad because I supported her the last year and a half but can not anymore. My significant other lost his job too. We will have to spend the next few years trying to get it right so I can get them back. Thank you for sharing some of your wisdom. Reading your books helps a lot. I have only read one as I can't find the others but I will. The four girls are all in tears. At least we have love of one another.
Spending quiet and peaceful weekend at Home. As to the question posed.....I put money...only due to the fact that our system in the US has the essentials for sustaining ourselves at a cost level which many times exceeds our ability to pay....
I like to celebrate Independence Day by looking at where I keep myself enslaved by limiting beliefs and outmoded obligations and declare my independence from them. Freedom's an inside job

My husband is working on Sat. No plans yet, but I WOULD like to get out and clean out the never ending storage room we call a garage. I'm trying to "de-clutter" myself. I think it would be easier if someone else did it...ONLY because if I see something, I'm like, "Hm, I'll use that later!" Yet it stays in storage for 5 MORE years! I'm tired of it.

I'll eat barberque next door with the neighbors. I'll stay indoors if their is fireworks because my dog becomes very upset and my presance helps calm her down.
Taking the dogs & wife out to camp by a swimming hole lined with magnificent Cypresses in the Texas hill country. Hoping the creek isn't too swollen by Alex rains, but I'm thankful for the reprieve from our usual hot parched summer!
Here in South Africa I have weened myself off forth of July stuff I APPRECIATE THE HISTORY but the fireworks are very unfair to all those thousands of loved pets who are absolutely terrified of the explosions as well as old folks.Isn't there a more civalized method of celebrating the foiled plot?????
This week end we ( myself ,wife and son ) planned to travel to In-laws House, some 550 kms away, to see the new born Grand daughter

Burt,I almost feel guilty listing money as my biggest need. If I had the money part solved, the rest would fall into place. I would bring a mountain of debt into a relationship and I work so many hours I have little time to pursue anything new. My strength and tenacity have sustained me through life's challenges, but Burt, I want to relax into my life so that I can enjoy it and consequently, give back to my beautiful family and community.

My son will be at the beach but both of my daughters will be here. Also my two grandbabies (1 and 3yrs old) and my son-in-law. Plans are fireworks, of course. It's just a matter of choosing which show to see. And the BEST barbeque in the Carolinas! It's made by a family and only available on patriotic holidays. I will also take time to post a note of gratitude to everyone who has fought to make and keep us free! God Bless America!
I'll be 87 this month, and I will celebrate July 4th the same way I celebrate every day--being grateful. As a Canadian our celebrations were yesterday as we celebrate Canada Day. Unfortunately the fantastic entertainment and fare had intense rain fall which dampened the participation. There were bands from all different cultures, display booths and there were to be fireworks, but we didn't stay that long.

I am surprised that "money" continues to be by far the most concern for your voters. Is this because the concepts of wealth creation have not be heard, learned, practiced - or because people always want more than they have? Maybe if some of the others - such as spirituality, love and relationships - were foremost we would find that (sufficient) wealth would be "added unto" us. I believe that a truly healthy, wealthy, spiritual person is "balanced" in all areas of their life.

Mt.Vernon, WA. who I just found out was going a very rough patch in his life -despite his best efforts.We had a super day: ate, drank, conversed about all manner of things (mostly I listened)..had his hours cut back to 14hrs/wk,without any warning whatever WA.state just now
cut him back to $31/wk! I still can't believe it:as his father was Head of US Army/all Europe-Supply.

I am just relaxing, and working on my plan to obtain funding for a farm. It is really hard for me as I live on a tight budget. My passion and dedication is helping others to become strong in their abilities. I train service dogs, and desperately require a farm to continue helping others. Many of the dogs, I donate, which includes 100's of hours of training, also includes, all medical checks, (which are very expensive) and all follow up training. Some dogs are sponsored, but I so need the farm. I so enjoy your emails, and I appreciate your kindness and the fact that you keep sending them.

I agree with Ches about health being the top pick, but when one already is healthy and is doing well in the spirituality department, money is really up there as a great need!!! Especially in this economy - I live in Connecticut - and the gas prices are rising again! Of course, it is Summer - so why not make it more difficult for families to afford to go on vacation!
My plans for the 4th of July - putting up the flag today (Friday) - on the 4th, having family and friends over to celebrate - we do remember why we celebrate the 4th - without all those who sacrificed their lives for this country, we would not be having the freedom to celebrate whatever we decide to celebrate!
I had an uncle who was shot down during the Korean War. My Dad was in the Navy during WWII - thank God he was spared to meet my Mom!!!

Hi Burt,
I will be spending my Independence Day cooking out on the grill, and waiting for my son to come home on leave. He spent two months out in Haiti helping with the clean up. He will be home for awhile before he will have to go to Afganigan.
