For those of you who know me well, you know I have a very unique photography style. I can't be certain, but I am quite sure that no other artist is using my concept of creating art. The truth is, it all came to me during one of my Quantum Jumps and today I want to show you my latest masterpiece. It's currently hanging over my mantle piece and I am pleased to say that when friends and family come over for a visit they can't keep their eyes off of it!
I just couldn't wait to share it with all of you.
Before I show it to you, however, I have a story you need to hear.
It was 1988 and I was in Ireland. I saw this old trawling vessel docked at Howth Harbor, a quaint fishing village on the outskirts of Dublin. The bow of the boat was crowded with fishermen, each with a pint of Guinness in hand. I pulled out my camera and took about a hundred photos of it. Once I returned home, I developed all the images put them together in a collage for a special showing at the International Photography Hall of Fame. After the showing I brought it home and put it in my garage where it laid forgotten for nearly 20 years.
Well... a few weeks ago I found it and got an amazing idea.
Here is what the piece looked like when I found it:

I brought the piece into my studio and started painting on the old photographs. I painted a new sky and ocean then contrasted it with the weathered brown boards of the dock I remember so well. I touched up the boat and painted in new ropes. Before I knew it, I had a brand new piece of art right in front of me!
Here it is:

I call it Howth Harbor. I hope you enjoy it.
Please let me know what you think!
Sincerely,
Burt

Debora
thank you very much this piece of art is beautifull and very encoraging .this make me want to get up and do something new .
Thank you,Burt.
Your work is inspiring and encouraging.
I think both are fantastic! The new, painted edition has a much more modern appearance to it - that's saying a lot considering the overall collage style. It's quite stark, and as Ida said, so very alive. I'm more drawn into it. I really enjoy free, disheveled looks in art, and implement such in my work from time to time...because I love to paint too, Burt!
Thank you for all that you do. You're such an inspiring individual.
by the way, please pray for me. becaus i need it so much.
thanks again.
hi burt, the artwork that youve made is so alive and happy and beutiful. i enjoyed it so much.

I am glad that you inspire others.
Can I meet you in Ranch Mirage some time.
My dad had a place near the Annanberg estate.
Best regards, Doug Harvey.
Hi Burt,
Being somewhat creative myself ,I can see it in you also. I think everyone is a little creative but afraid to let it show because of what others might think.
Don't realise what they are missing ...huh
WOW - BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!

Hi Burt,
I love what you did with it. It looks great! Please keep showing us more of your great artwork.
John H
It was a very interesting post thanks for writing it!
Hi Burt,
Thank you for sharing with us your work. I can only imagine how you have cahnged during those 20 years. The picture inspires me, and I hope that ability to create is possible at any age. I like the colors, they remind me the tales of my childhood, the tailes that I used to make up myself. And one more thing: when I am looking at the picture it seems to me that I know you for a long time, and I like it
Thank you very much for that big article
Burt ... Nice job and I like what you were able to do with the "old photo". Wouldn't it be remarkable, if with a few brush strokes, we could take our "worn out life picture" and convert it into something so new and beautiful again. Oh, maybe be can. Tell me how.
Thanks ... Terry
No cheesy analysis...just the "WOW" factor on the painting.
How come so many think the photo is a painting? I am very partial to the painting. It just gave me a WOW effect.
hi burt...wow what you did there is just so brite an awakening...like your heart..i love to do the same kind of stuff...lovit!!! josi*
Love it so alive with light and joy --just like you...Julie
I like both pictures. What medium did you use? Did you paint digitally onto a digital photo or with brushes?
BURT..I AM REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE WORK OF ART YOUVE DISPLAYED ON YOUR BLOG...KEEP IT UP.
CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE: WHOBUTKASEENO.COM
I AM AN UPCOMING ARTIST..WHO IS PLEASED TO SAY THAT YOUVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL TOWARDS MY DREAM.
Hello Burt:
Thanks for creating a forum where we can each express our thoughts on how we view changes. It is amazing to read everyone's perspective. I think that your work shows your passion for life and your thoughts of reincarnation. As you stated in one of your lessons, we all have a double somewhere on another universe and you painting over an original, making it livlier, simply demonstrates this point.
Well, I like new ideas and original ways to express creativity. So I really appreciate your style. From my point of view art is not meant to duplicate reality, it is meant to show people a better perspective on reality. And you're doing that.
good job!
Dear Burt, it is in your nature to give new life to downtrodden people suffering with problems and you have shown it now on your photograph.
Regards
Venu
Thanks for the pictures and lessons and comments about it. I like the heart that holds the boat also. Very nice experience.
Once I crawl out of this financial hole I've dug for myself, I want to get your course on quantum jumping. I'd love to jump out of here right now and onto that boat.
Wow! Its amazing how we can take something old and make it new again by letting a little time go by without paying much attention to it. Its like we get a new perspective to build on an old subject. I guess with time we gain wisdom to tackle old problems or projects with new and improved vision!
Absolutely beautiful.
Hi Burt
I have truly enjoyed your lessons but I must be totally honest
here. I know that everyone has their own idea of what is beautiful and artistic. I have to say that I really prefer the old photograph (painting). It is rustic and original. You do have talent though for restoration. I think that some things are just meant to be left alone to be admired. But then again it sounds like a lot of people prefer your new improved version.
I just have to say that I'm not one of those people. To each his own...
God Bless
Cindy
well done, it looks full off life
Beautiful! It has light, texture and depth. It pulls you in.
Susan
Dear Burt I saw yohr photograph .which you gave a new life to it.It,s a very good idea to give new life to old photograph God has given you tremeds thinking,s .Thanks for sharing your ideas

Very good, I truly like it. No art lessons! Amazing. You have added your own style. Very nice.
Hi Burt,
It reveals the noble intent of a meaningful transformation. Be it real life or photographs made to speak!
Thanks
Sujoy
cool!
Dear Burt ,
Thank you for sharing your art.
Fabulos work!
Hello Mr. Goldman,
I found the painting to be very beautiful. So beautiful I thought it would be something to focus on while meditating, as it portrays a calming, peaceful, very blue coloring effect, yet you can still feel and hear the water slowly rushing against the boat. No gulls but another thing to complete the meditation.
Thank you so much for sharing something of old and recreating it to a new visible painting in every sense.
Debra
Your painting is beautiful...as an artist it is inspiring to me...thank you...I have a painting that took me 6years to finish the end results always makes an impact on whoever sees it like your painting...it speaks to the deeper parts of the Soul...

Greetings Burt,
Preaching to the choir? It is great that you are exploring a new hobby. If you want helpful feedback, submit your two pieces to The Artist's Magazine.
Aloha,
Robakyo
Hi Burt
Thanks for your inspiration. I think the new version is far superior than the old although the old one is still good. The changes remind me of the saying that there is nothing new under the sun. By taking something old and adding something extra the old one becomes a better old one that's new. The inspiration that you give reminds me that things we did in the past can be improved on by applying ourselves in the right way.
best wishes
Vince
Hi Burt:
This picture transformation is amazing and vibrant! What a great idea. Your passion truly shows on your work.
Thanks for sharing it.
Many Blessings,
Where did my comment go?
Amazing artwork. Wonderful talent. Now we know from your life story that people can find many talents to develop. I have yet to tap into my potential to discover where I can bloom and grow. My beginning is here and now. I have to check out your programs that I ordered.
I really love it!!!!
Ljiljana
I like the first picture, it is soft and dreamy. I do not care so much for the second one. It is a little too harsh, which is good in some circumstances, but I don't think so here. That doesn't mean it is not good, just not MY ideal, but the first one is.
Hi Burt, so amazing love them both, as im Irish it reminds me of home. LOve your stories. Thank you for sharing. Mairead. : )
The boat gives me an eerie feeling of being there and seeing the men's faces, each with a story. It makes me want to go there:)
Thank you
Dear Burt, thank you for sendindg me your paintings,
they are beautiful each one in their time.
the newer is so vibrant I believe that your mind is
as vibrant as your painting because that is it's
expression now.
I have learned so much from you. You're a genius,
and a blessing for al of us.
Thank You
Maria
Dear Burt,
I'am happy that finally am able to write to you. The new approach is very bold and has breathed in life to that beautiful picture. Infact I believe it's a message to all to be reborn and find out what each one can do. I thank you for the inspiring letters you keep posting to me. Pl. continue to do so.
A sudden burst of creativity, optimism and life. Thanks for sharing.
that is funny Burt because I live in Howth and know the boat. The last time i saw the boat, it looked like it could do with a make over its self. must have missed you in 1988 but sure i was only a wee lad.
Dear Burt,
I Like them both!
The old photo looks very Vintage , soft and muted.
I loved that you recycled this piece of Art into a New medium that is bright and colorful. You brought your memory back to life in a new light!
Deborah
I like the old Painting. It has meaning.
The new Painting just has colours
It's beautiful. There's a metaphor about potential in there somewhere.
Love it, Love it Love it!
I REALLY LIKE THE WORK AND I WAS A HIGH SCHOOL ART TEACHER AND WITHOUT LOOKING AT HOW THE PAINT WAS LAID ON THE CANVAS I WOULD GIVE YOU KUDOS FOR YOUR COLOR, LAYOUT AND DESIGN.I AM THE SISTER OF THE NOW DECEASED ARTIST, WRITER, MUSICIAN AND POET EMILIO CRUZ SO I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.
The first reminds me of your past and the one you created reminds me of the future. Every time I read anything that you send me I analyze and I learn from it.
Good job!
Dear Burt,
Very dynomic painting having vibrant energy..New one has your emotional feeling flowing in present...
I love both painting..
Does this mean that the old gave way to the new? What a great idea. Now where did I put that Picasso?
Age is a case of mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter. Burt, you are a real inspiration that this journey can begin anytime at any age.
Shafin
Hi Burt
We Irish have an expression for exceptional job you have just done with your new painting
"Class ! "
Regards
David
It's amazing how your painting looks more alive than the photograph. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Diana
Dear Burt
I love both paintings, the 2nd version is really vibrant. Each version has a different quality to it. Thank you very much for sharing
Dear Burt,
I like them BOTH!
The original has a softer, more dreamlike quality and the new one is vibrant.
Your friend,
Brennan
Dear Burt,
Lovely image - Well done, I know the place well. It's changed a little since 1988 but still special.
It looks like a heart is anchoring the ship in place - Perhaps Dublin has taken and holds a part of your heart?
Jack.
Hi Burt! I think you've awakened the painting! The colours you used are bright and energetic. Very nice!
its a very unique and original expression.
Hope we can do something for the community
to make it better.
I like it it's vibrant
Its very beautiful rather awesome.
Its bright and beautiful!
Dear Burt Goldman,
Your painting is really very beutiful. It shows your genius. You are really wonderful.
SRINIVAS KULKARNI
Dear Burt,
The picture is wonderful, and it has in a way empressionist style (it looks like that). I liked it very much, and it means you see the view in a nice way or in your point of view and it looks like a dream which all of us see the world when we are in junior high school. That is the dream in a way, but you succeed to see that way in your age and that is great. I do not know if I made myself clear enough.
Take care and please go on painting!
Dear Burt Goldmen,
Painting is really very beutiful. It shows your genius. You are really wonderful.
S.Kulkarni
Burt the paintings reflect a work of love ,dearness for reality and a natural brilliance for natural detail.

MS
Hi Burt,
This is so beautiful and amazing And YOU ARE AMAZING!
Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
INSPIRING... DEAR BURT, THANKS FOR SHARING...;)
It is all about perception, your vision as well as the beauty that you inject to your own thoughts and create a work of art. You are able to enhance the past into creating your future thoughts. This is what I see in your outstanding art work.
It is indeed a wonderful piece of art, dear Burt.Thank you very much for sending it to me.
Please continue your good work. Wish you a happy long life.
With love and prayers,
Francis
Dear burton,
Hi friend,
Iwould like to share with you a famous poem after sharing your art of the boat.
ROW ROW ROW YOUR BOAT
GENTLY DOWN THE STREAM,
MERRILY MERRILY MERRILY,
FOR LIFE IS JUST A HAPPY DREAM.
WITH A PURPOSE TO REALISE THE LOVE OF THE LORD FOR HIS CREATIONS.
Thank you for sharing this picture with me. The picture brings calm thoughts, peace. I feel how it calls me over there. The water so peaceful and bright.I like colors. I like your picture. Thank you.

Mr. Monk:
Wonderful.
Burt, thanks for sharing your art. I sense the love you are putting our for people. Just saying thanks!
Hi Mr Burt
I think you did a great job on restoring the painting.Someone once gave me a painting of a boat and I painted abstract art on top of it with fabric paint. A drunk friend of mine swear he saw a baby with angels around it.
Hi Burt,
I really enjoyed your work. Thank you for sharing it.
Leo
Nice work, lovely
Great work Burt.. The picture is truly lively..
Hi Burt
I think you did a great job on restoring the painting. Someone gave me a painting of a boat in 2000 and I painted on top of it with fabric paint. piece of abstract art.
Thank you for sharing your painting with me,I love the details you did in the picture. Now the picture is bright and clear. I draw also, and I know it is the details, style and freshness, that makes your picture look rich. The same way things are in our lives, you can change it if you want to. You just have to make up your mind, you want that change. I lost my house and I need one now. I don't judge no one, because it's no one fault, but my own. Now I will try to change my life, just like you change the dullness in the photo,to a bright new Painting. I want to do my life, the same way. I tell myself, life will get better and better. EVERYDAY. Things will open up, I feel it. Things change everyday and I still look for the positive in everything. Things usually happen when you lease expect it to, sometimes, so I'm drawing and adding a bright splash of color to my new life. I feel like I'm standing on the deck, walking toward the boat that's all tied up. Nice, I know what it takes, and you did a good job.
I like it cuz the colors are brighter.
I think that it is so nice and pleasant. I used to create some nice art my self many years ago. I hope it wins a reward.
Hi Burt
I think it would be nice to hang both photos along side each other or in a frame with two picture slots.
Isen't it a good feeling when you find something that you have done a long time ago and can still use it today.
It's very beautiful !
Samantha.
It gives the illusion of high relief. Burt, what do you think of adding a high relief frieze to your photo technique? That would be surreal.
I like it, well done!
Very nice paint, it's just like what i'm dreaming on boarb my own boat in the future, if still living.
I loved the painting, as I have a passion for the ocean.
As I looked at the finished painting, I felt that you had become transient to the time and place the photo was taken and had captured that moment in time to share with others.
Claire
I find your piece very creative, although I prefer your photo collages. What I appreciate the most about you is the ability to draw the viewer's attention from the banal perception of the physical senses into higher dimensions of perception. "Surrealism" is the stule I best associate your form of expression with.
I would like to know what you think of my art and poetry work as well. You'll find it at the link http://radesign.itgo.com
Great job, it is very inspiring thanks for sharing not only the picture but also your thoughts.
RA
You are a gifted man that has displayed his talent in a worthy fashion that will be enjoyed by many. Thanks.
You discover another profession.
You always surprise me with new things.
This one is beautiful.
Namaste
Jose
Your use of colors is beautiful and bright!
Burt, Fabulous work I really think you have the eye for it. Thank you so much for sharing this with my wife and me. We share a love for art and almost all kinds are accepted. Although these kind of pictures are the kind that bring back old memories. Even if this isn't our memory. Great work Burt
Gerry and Deena Campbell
Hello Burt what an idea! I beleive I could try something like that even though I am not an artist, or at all creative in that capacity. I would say you did take alittle of the (age of history)if I might describe it that way and made it something of a more modern time. Maybe not using such bright colors (as the red) on the boat and keeping the antiquish kinda quality to it. Keeping the spirit and "history" of that boats challenges and journeys alive, and yet knowing there is so much more to experience in the future. Im not sure Ive wrote this in the same way of what I was thinking i wanted to say but tried all the same. Stay Well my friend Cheryl
Marvellous art burt, reminding me of comic pictures of 40s' and i love it
Beautiful sketch. I love your photo too. very creative.
Bert,
I see that you did a fantastic job of restoring your painting. The colors are brighter, and yet still remnant of how they would have appeared many years ago. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Keep shining!
I like this new painting very much specially the vivid
colors.
P.A.C.E. You suck .Burt You Rock !
Very well done. The detail is totally awesome. Thanks for sharing!!!
I love what you have done to the old photo, I would love to see the face of the person who owned this old boat when they would see what they could have if they took over a remodeling job. The picture is great.
A metaphor of life. I would like some one to put some "new colourful paints" on my 62 year old form, the inner self being ever young. Ha ha.
Thanks Burt
Nice Illustration, yes. Masterpiece worthy of salivating kudos? Hmmmm. I don't think so. What is with all these people who lavish over the top praise for what is a nice drawing with bright fun colors? I somehow think that the common denominator for what people consider fine art is in need of re-examination. Perhaps re-education. Burt, I love your enthusiasm, but can't get on board with self proclaimed greatness when it comes to art.
Burt I don't know much about "art" but I love the colors, it would brighten up any place it hangs.
It is warm and sunny with happy energy, you must be proud of having produced it.
I spent the afternoon reading your Mind Box series, there is so much you can be proud of, - thank you for sharing your wonderful mind with the rest of us.
God Bless!!! Keep up the great work, you are appreciated beyond words. EVA
Really nice, Burt. Love the bright colors! Thanks for sharing your creation.
Hi Burt...
It's always good to be encouraging, especially to
beginners.
But you're not a beginner. So I must confess that
I see you as self conscious and left-brained here.
I believe that it's called 'object oriented'...
that's where the artist is 'up tight' and afraid to
work 'outside of the reference lines for fear of
loosing the 'sterio-typical' images...
Even so, your talent is showing...
But you could doing more important research..
Gary
Hi Burt, I really loved your painting. Its simply beautiful.
Teresa
Hey Burt Good stuff Love it !!!!! You are Amazing!!!
Great job Burt! You keep coming up with some amazing things. So, in light of that...what's next??? I'm all eyes to see. Bless you Burt. Love, Light, and full of compassion to you. Dianna

Tom

Rodrigo

Its beautiful !!!
Hey Burt - very cool. You really should clean out your garage more often! Obviously this was the right time for the original picture to "show up" and for you to embellish it.
Peace and Blessings.
I think the collage is a lot better.
I am not much of an art specialist however, the painting looks great. Joe
very nice the sharp/crisp feeling the picture invokes, is as you are there, breathing the fresh air, wind in my face...sun on my fack...peaceful
Great, my first thought was that of meeting an old friend.
It looks great I mean take it from me I'm a artsist too!
If you want to chat visit my email....
It is beautiful! I like it more than the real one. I like the way you use the brushes, the colors and the feeling that you gave it. Thank you for sharing such a beauty.
I liked it better as a photo collage
thanks for sharing!
Mark Foster
Like a windshield wiper or squigee, it quickly cleared or diverted my mind from hours of frothing through a mass of email. Thanks!
HI BURT , ITS GREATE REALLY IS
HI BURT ,ITS ONE OF THE MANY SUPRISES YOU GAVE US TILL NOW .GREATE JOB AND PASSION ........

WoW !! Nice painting
Thanks for sharing it !
Marc
Wow Burt! That looks great! What a difference that made just by making a few changes. A one of a kind talent I might say. Can't wait to see more of your work. BJH
I think its a great painting Mr. Burt!
Great idea.
That's fantastic.
I must say your career as an artist has inspired me to follow through on a body of work I've been toying with for quite some time.
Thank you!
you did a great job. i am and artist myself and up in years, however this just adds juice to the feelings you have when you see a nice pease of work. thanks for sharing it with me.
It's nice to see the experimentation, but to be perfectly honest, I'm far more fond of the original piece. The composition is much more interesting to me, and the use of white space is intriguing. Always fun to put something in a new light, though! Art is an amazing thing
I live near that area in Dublin, it's an absolute pleasure seeing your masterpiece of a place so close, well done
Nice work Burt. Wish I had that skill!
Although I love the original one I have to say what a great idea to paint over it and create a new beautiful piece of art.
Thank you for sharing Burt.
Don't know what URL stands for, but the picture is my life time at sea, I've spent 35yrs @ sea, it seems to be a 65footer to me, used sometime for fishing, but the A frame or Gantry dosen't show what kind of fishing this boat has done, Don.
I love this. Its amazing Wow! fabulous.
Accentuate the essence.
I've played with that in the photo shop, adjusting light focus, and saturation et.al. to soften the parameters of a physical object that has more definition than it needs for the message of substance that it emits.
Sometimes too critical a focus is a distracting element that focus' the rational mindset to egotistical analytical observation mode that requires multi-tasking.
While softness and color vibrate directly to the chakras and serve to induce sensory memories of good experiences.
The transfer of focus to substance bypasses detail distraction.

That would of been cool if it were foggy, and some way you could tell their was a fog horn.
That color is congruent, the whole picture is.
having been to howth harbour both of your pictures resonate with me and perhaps there are many more "pictures" inbetween these two still to be captured I suppose it depends on our "eye" and our mood .thankyou for an interesting topic esther.
I love that piece. I like the best of all the art you have posted in the past. This is my favorite.
I love the painting! Where my mind is going, too, is how could you get the paint to adhere to actual photographs & how can that be presereved? I would hate to see it crumble!
Hi Burt,
All I can say is WOW and I am a bit of a boat freak and have worked on them, photographed them and painted them - but you beat me!?! Let us see more works, please.
MA
Hi Burt,
I must say that the painting is wonderfully done. My favorite part is the blend between sky and ocean. Having the ocean and sky comprised of similar colors helps the red boat to stand out boldly. I enjoyed it!
Thanks Its very inspiring and so real. carry on doing your good work. I expect you will get better and better as you folow your heart.
There is still hope for us who are aspiring for better expresion of our lives.
thanks again Bless you from the bottom of my heart.

Hi Burt!
Great perspective, nicely modeled forms.....i would suggest more experimentation with color instead of the narrower palette of ice-cold and hot color.....How about greens, yellows, purples, ochres, roses, orange...etc. They are always there, we just have to see them. Also the dock seems to rise and arch up rather then lie flat and move that way forward in space.
Very beautiful though!
I really like your brushwork. Another artist, painting from a photograph, discovered during a showing of the finished painting, that he had painted the model with an extra finger.
I truly don't want to say this, but without the reflection of the boat in the water, the boat has no foundation. Were it to be floating in the air, we would see the keel. This boat is lopped off at the waterline.
Aloha,
Robakyo
Hi Burt,
"You are the dreamer and the dream manifesting the physical. You have certainly kept your childlike state of wonderment, joy, and what if's.Never grow up for it stifles the magic."Geoffrey.
Good Afternoon Mr. Goldman,
Being a born Artist myself, I find that I am very critical of not only my own work but also those of others. So, please pardon me for I must be truthfull. I have seen most of your work that you have shown in the past few months and to be honest haven't really cared for most of them. Though most will disagree I'm certain but I judge art by the capacity it has to touch my soul. So on to "HOWTH HARBOR"...........I love it, It brings on a feeling of deep peace and draws me into the harbor where I could almost smell the sea, roll gently with the waves, Somehow becoming more aware of life around me...."HOWTH HARBOR" is Honest, Real, uncomplicated in it's Beauty.........Thank-You for sharing this painting with me........Sincerely,
P.A.C.E.
It's very beatiful
Hi Burt
You've done a good job.Detail is good
I can smell the salt air and fish.
John

Thanks Burt for sharing your latest reCreation! Goes to show us that we can bring to life our so called old creations. Will check on some of my older creations and see what life I can add to them.

Ruth
What a wonderful idea! It's beautiful.
It's beautiful Burt. Just another way of creating a new ideal reality!
I can almost feel the air in this picture.I love the texture that you give the pier, and crispness of the sky,and water!Fresh, yet weathered.
wonderful!
Hi Burt liked the picture, a small suggestion we in Ireland spell Harbor 'Harbour' so 'Howth Harbour' would make your painting look even more authentic
Interesting...I enjoyed the way you initially turned into a photographer and this idea is unique too...
Hi Burt
I think the picture is great so far but there is more to come? Perhaps if you made the sea a little darker with some reflection it will be even more 3D. Just a thought.
Interesting concept: painting a photograph. I'm going to try it on a picture from a magazine and see how that turns out.
Startling, Burt! Gorgeous! Like you reframed the experience!
And they say there is nothing new to discover, even in the arts .... well I think you have done it ...who would ever of thought??? WOW ... Keep up the great work ... and here's to "Q" Jumping!!!! The one word that runs through a great many of the comments is *amazing* ... it truly fits.... Thanks for sharing Burt ...
Nice job, Burt.
I am a graphic designer, and I really like the technique you applied. Very cool!
I love the picture...looking forward a jump myself.

You are such a huge inspiration. These are stunning !
this is awe inspiring, sit and look at it and dream of a simpler time.
Hi Burt!

Where did the Fishermen go?
Karin
What a wonderful idea and a marvelous piece of art. You are an amazing talent and creative light. I wish I had your courage and vision.
Bonnie
You do have a unique concept for your artwork, it turned out beatifully. Would love to see more.
Amazing, Burt! More to come?
I think it is a reminder of our lives as we try to manifest things like Burt explains or in the movie the Secret. We often imagine what we want but forget to "paint" the the entire picture meaning ourselves, our children, family, our surroundings, all the elements of the senses, and whatever else we need to make the manifestation more energized with emotion/feeling to enhance or quicken its presentation to you. Ponder these ideas and share what you take from at as I have, thanks Burt for the concept and idea which I hop to use even better now. Because now more than ten minutes ago I know , like I know, like I know, I can do this... meaning change my life with intention, prayer, and receiving of that which I choose to manifest.
Great. Love the vibrant colours in the renewed version.
Simple and unfussy.
Burt - I think it is fantastic! I would like to include it on your International Gallery website. Others can now view and purchase your limited edition reproductions at http://www.ArtChannelGalleries.com/BurtsArt

How amazing, I have just been talking to my friend in Dublin on line, and guess what she lives in Howth - in fact she runs the local post office there - I am going to show her this when she visits next week.
It's a beautiful place - so peacefull.
Thank you for reminding me.

It's like the picture became clearer. Just like in life. You think you know and understand something very well, but as the years go by, you learn more and more, thus your view on life becomes more clear. Just like working with your lessons. Each time I re-listen to the videos and drink in the information, I have begun to re-paint my ideas about life and the part I play in it. For the past two years I have been re-inventing my Self, so to speak. Me thinks this Butterfly is about to soar! Thank you Burt!
I love it! Great technique
Thank you Burt! Lovely pictures I like them. You did fantastic change on that picture just with a few colour it is true to life. If is this 20 years old picture can be change this wonderfull way everything what we want we can change just need to work on it. That is what I thinking.
Thank you Burt again!
Love you
Hmm interesting, personally I like using colored pencils then watercoloring over it.
Burt, you are truly amazing. Thanks for being you.
Burt,
It's beautiful.I am always looking for different craetive ideas and this is great. Thanks for sharing!
Love the touch-up-is that oil-acrylic?
Much more beautiful and vibrant!
Life. Enlightened
Excellent. The new painting looks more live.

The touched version lightens up details that pass unnoticed in the original.
Dear Burt,
Thanks for sharing this. I like the original idea very much. It gives you the feeling of actually being there. The touched up version though makes you feel like you can smell the salty air and hear the seagulls!
Love it!
The original is the best!
I love what you did! Taking an old montage and renewing it - Fantastic!
I love the technique!
Hi Burt,
I love what you did with it. It looks great! The before and after effect is astounding. Please keep showing us more of your great artwork.
