It’s Not Just For Thanksgiving! 48

Turkey is tasty and sweet potatoes are, well, sweet...

But the best part about Thanksgiving is how focused everyone is on the concept of gratitude.

Don't you just love that warm, fuzzy feeling that creeps up on you when you get together with your loved ones, and talk about the things that make your life beautiful?

Now imagine if you could get that feeling not just on Thanksgiving, but every single day.

A friend of mine by the name of Mike Reining had the same idea, and he's started a website called GratitudeLog. It's a social networking site where you can share gratitude messages and gifts with your friends and other GratitudeLog members.

Think of it as a happier, more positive version of FaceBook :)

I've been using GratitudeLog for a few weeks, and I dare say I'm hooked! If you'd like to join me and start telling me what you're grateful for, sign up at the link below for your free account:

Connect with me on GratitudeLog here.

And after you've signed up, turn up your speakers and watch my Thanksgiving message:

Here's wishing you a Thanksgiving filled with gratitude, love and enlightenment :)

Sincerely,

Burt

Dear Burt,

Thank you for sharing all the amazing insights and techniques!

Did you do a quantum jump to recognize the "Moment Before the Big Bang?" If so, did you view this as an event or did you talk to one of your insightful selves about this discovery? Or did you realize this through understanding the laws of the universe?

This is such a different view point that it opens quantum fields.

Dear Burt, first, let me thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the help I am about to receive.
I am grateful for my good health inspite the fact that I barely walk, for the best friends that one can get,for the very goodhearted woman ( who is my paid help, but I am the luckiest woman on the Earth to have her)and i am thankful for every day, every flower on my balcony, every colour on the sky or on and in the sea-I sincerely hope for the promised Golden Age and that my house will not be as an island in the sea in my lifetime. Cheers,Nina

Happy Thanksgiving Burt. I just wanted to let you know that I showed the video of you answering a question that I asked you, to my sister. She thinks you're adorable and you made her feel very relaxed with the way you speak. She said, who is that guy again? because I could listen to him all day! This is exactly the reaction I had hoped she would have and secretly knew she would have. I think you're a one of a kind and I'm grateful for what I have learned from you in the videos you send me.

val says

Dearest Burt and, actually, to All of you contributing to this site.

Thank you, Burt, for your kind, encouraging and empowering words on all the videos.

Thank you, All, for sharing your uplifting comments, your challenges and your gratitude.

For me, this site is a reminder that we all are on the same journey with lots of questions and hope, goodness and love.

To Valerie, after I read your blurb I thought, oh I have to send a word of encouragement. And then I noticed you have the same name as I! Hey hang in there-you sound very supportive and these kids who chose you to be their Mother during this life time(and you chose them to be your kids), they are appreciating that you are there for them while you are all experiencing these challenging times together. "Let it be" are very inspiring words and a soothing message from the Universe.

To Louis~ Dying is part of Living. It's part of the whole deal--and hardest for the people left behind. Miracles also happen all the time! So burn the candle, send out your most genuine thoughts and know that whatever happens is for the good of all--including your wife AND including you.

Thank you for your continuously kind and gentle words, Burt. Thank you, Everyone, for your good thoughts~ and many blessings during this weekend dedicated to thinking thoughts of appreciation. ~Val

Heey Burt, I like the new painting! I think you captured/represented energy nicely... there are areas that even look like things are made up of neon signs bending all over, which also makes me think of airbrush work. Quite stylish, I say. Is it oil?

P.S. should the candle have to burn up completely in that dissipation technique? If so, could incense cones or sticks be used instead? Even though it doesn't stay aflame...

I need a quick, strict way to reduce my blood pressure! I'm taking the highest level of two blood presure medicines and it is still 170s over 110s. Lots of stress in my life right now. No stories needed. How do I quickly and definitively lower my BP to acceptable level!!! Terry

Sheila says

Dear Burt
I loved the painting. I shall not give up painting however much I am critized! I shall use your method and succeed. I would like to know if how I could heal someone who has kidney failure. Is it possible or is it only for aches and pains?

Sherry says

Dear Burt, Throught your many emails to me from your company, I have received many enticing offers. I have explained that I lost my job due to a major car accident and have no funds to purchase these. Even the offer you send out 48 hours ago...even though it was a great offer...I have no funds for these. I wish I could get them, for I do need help and guidance, but with a home Tax bill over due ($1,700) at present and not sure where the money is going to come from, I sent in an email explaining this. So, if you ever give any "Full Scholarships" out to individuals, please consider me. I have sent a number of replys to the emails you have sent to me and never once did I get a reply. Soooooooooooooo...I am trying this way to see if I get a reply. Thanks for reading and I wish you continued success. Thanks, Sherry

Hi Burt,
I hope you had a great Thanks giving!
In Ireland, Christmas is the big celebration. I read in 'The Secret'...I think it was J. Canfield who said every morning and night think of ten things to be grateful for.I've been doing that ever since and...things just get better and better.
Thanksgiving day is twice a day everyday for me.....It's amazing.
Thanks for your messages Burt. Keep it going, and stay strong and healthy!!

Happy Thanksgiving Burt!!

I am really looking forward to tomorrows videos....

I have no friends or family this year, so I am celebrating by making sure the birds and squirrels have plenty to eat and by watching them enjoy the food. The squirrels always give me cause to laugh - silly guys.

I am grateful for my warm, dry house and the good food I am fortunate to have. We are so lucky and most of us just do not realize how good we have it.

Think I'll start painting, again. It's a great way to channel energy.

See you tomorrow!

Happy Tanksgiving Day, Burt!

????????????Happy Thanksgiving Burt and any Americans reading this!????????????

I'm not American, I'm English and Thanksgiving isn't an 'official' holiday I celebrate. Nonetheless, I endeavour to make every day a Thanksgiving day :)
With your indulgence Burt, I'd like to share some thoughts I put into 'type' recently for my clients and friends.

Take a pad and pen (or open Word :) and write down three things that make you happy. They can be things on which you didn’t necessarily expend extra money.

By alerting yourself to the events/things/people/pets etc that bring you joy and feeling grateful for them, you are training your subconscious to seek ‘abundant times’ – not necessarily pertaining to money.

What three ‘abundant’ moments did you write or type?

Seeing someone or a pet you love? Enjoying a sunrise or sunset? Doing an activity you enjoy? Listening to some music that triggers happy memories?

The truth is, we all have moments that make us happy, that bring us joy… Sadly we often ignore them and focus on what we don’t have/don’t like and how our situations aren’t how we want them to be. To quote Eric Hoffer: "The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings."

Start looking for anything (healthy) that makes you feel happy, abundant and aware of the ‘wealth’ you already have in your life. You get more of what you focus on, so the more you practise looking for moments of abundance - precious moments of joy - the more you will experience.

All the Best, Bert

Happy Thanksgiving, Burt & Everyone --

I joined the Gratitude Log website and love the idea of it but have not been disciplined enough to go to it every day, although I do express my gratitude every day or several times a day. I have so much to be grateful for!

Looking forward to Friday's "Dear Burt." I enjoy all of them and I enjoy seeing what you're painting, too! If you put enough blue in a painting I'm going to love it!

Peace, Love & Blissings to All,
Becky

Thank you, Burt, for sharing your thoughts. Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
It is so true that being grateful changes one's perspective on a lot of life. Each of us have so much to be thankful for. Taking the time to reminisce every year about our countless blessings - esp. if we don't take the time to do it otherwise - is a very rewarding exercise. What better time than at Thanksgiving & the beginning of the Advent Season to give thanks for everything we are grateful for. It is the perfect preparation for Christmas.

christian says

Happy Thanksgiving Burt!! Many thanks for the link to the gratitude blog and for all the help and support this year. Your paintings are beautiful and inspirational in that spirit desires to express and in that we are connected. Thank you for that reminder! You do it with such love and joy. Namaste

I have completed the 7 lessons and thank you very much. I read a lot anything to do with self improvement and the power of mind. I could see that I have met most of what I really wanted in here as to somewhere else. I like your advise very much, very practical and got that umphh. Now I would like a very specific advise from you sir i.e. after we have delivered our service(s) to customers.. what mingling in my mind is how can I collect my payment using meditation technique without me calling them to pay me (at all) instead they would willingly pay me? Thank you sir..

Just wanted to tell you that I am touched by your videos, your generosity in sharing things like your "Daisy Pond" etc. I love that you make yourself available to all of us and just wanted to send many thanks your way on this Thanksgiving day!

Tim says

Dear Burt,
First of all let me thank you for the many useful techniques you've been teaching us in your most interesting videos. I use some of them and indeed get a great benefit from it.
There is one little thing I would like to ask you. It may sound trivia but it is not; at least for me.
I am losing my hair. I dont' want it to happen...I have been trying to fight it, but with little results. Since you have a gloriously full head of hair I was wandering if there is anything you do...some "secret" that could share with us.
Again Thank you
Tim
