I like meditating when sitting at the edge of canyons. I meditated at the Grand Canyon, at the edge of it for a few days once.

Meditaion is a way to to go deep to a silent state of

being regardless of the noisy world in and out.

I believe it can be practiced on anytime and anywhere.

I also think it would be right to teach it since you are

a child.

Meditating I love to do'
     Contemplate some may call it'
Dwelling on'

I love to see and feel the sun on my shoulders'
     The warmth of the universe'
Healing and purification'

I remember back in 74'
     Line em up
Line them all up for shure
     I've seen them all

Make today the day
lay the life out you want
Smile for the day
Overcome the blowing of the world

One can meditate anywhere once the habit is developed. What do you think of a poem called "The presence of God"...by an Irish poet?

I see his blood upon the rose and in the stars the glory of his eyes.
His body gleams amid eternal snows
His tears fall from the skies
I see his face in every flower the thunder and the singing of the birds are but his voice
and carven by his power, rocks are his written words......

Now I have my words to this,

I see His face in every face and in every eye the glory of His eyes,
His body gleams in every body,
His tears fall from every eye......

Yes meditation helps us to be home with ourselves and see the glory even in the broken and the crushed. Who admires a broken and bruised body, but when that body is broken and bruised for love of us all what a marvel that a human person can love so much.

Bless us all

Meditation to me is not about going or getting anywhere, it is simply allowing yourself to reside peacefully in the present moment, regardless of external circumstances or internal turmoil.

meditation is best done by the sea, or by a beutifully flowing river in the wilderness...
or sitting propped up against a beautiful ancient tree...
more and more meditating with other beings as points in the star mer ka bah or making up the star - ship itself are simply put - WONDERFUL!!

Greetings Burt,
My favorite place that I ever meditated was along the river at a place called Valley Green in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. Just something about the flowing river and the peacefulness of the surrounding wooded area made me feel so centered. Now, often when I meditate - even though I am hundreds of miles away from Valley Green) - I still return there in my meditations.
