I know it may seem a bit late to be talking about New Year Resolutions,
but this is perhaps the best time to start reflecting on them to see how
well you're doing.
Here I am talking about my Resolutions:
How are you getting along with yours?
Did you manage to lose weight? Kick a bad habit? Pick up a new skill?
Get started on achieving something you've always dreamed of?
I'd love to hear from you.
All the best in 2009,
Burt
My name is Burt Goldman. I’m one of those “lucky people” who discovered a secret early in life. For the last 50 years, I have been traveling the world and meeting and studying spiritual masters from every inch of our planet. Now, at the age of 82, I'm ready to share with the world what I have learned. I started this blog to be able to share with you my most valuable teachings and insights I have gained over the past few decades. Here, you'll find plenty of valuable information on meditation, energy healing, spirituality, and my latest revelation, Quantum Jumping. I look forward to connecting with you and I sincerely hope you enjoy being a part of this blog.

I'm personally a big fan of the 12 ounce curl.

Hi Burt
I want to thank you for all the wonderful free meditation's. I have been using them for about 2 months now and I am much less stressed and not being so short with my spouse.
My resolution are:
1. To exercise on a regular basis
2. To live in the moment
3. To help others deal with change.
I look forward to learning more from you.
God Bless.
Dear Burt, Doing good is always wonderful. I volunteer in a food pantry helping the needy. What I found was that most of the needy didn't want to help themselves. We would help with rent, food, and utilities and they were right back the next month expecting to be helped again. I am not helping by giving fish. I only help by teaching to fish. So, I will leave the pantry and teach instead. Andrea
Hi Burt

4. To realise my true potential
5. To laugh more
Thanx for asking & sharing

Hi Burt like so many others I love seeing you and listening to you. I don't make resolutions as such but I am inspired by what you say and my resolutions are "Really listening to myself and others", Letting go of what is not essential, practicing what I have already learned....and sending loving wishes around me each day..Thank you Burt for your peaceful presence coming through in all you do.
Hello Burt,
I just discouvered I have Hepatitis C. My new year resolution will be to succeed in fighting this desease. Also to develop a much more positive thinking in all areas. I need to get rid of this inner miserable voice "I can't" and believe that YES I WILL ATTRACT things I wish the most. Peace to you all.
Thank you Burt. I appreciate all you do. Why must it be New Year's resolution? Every new day is a new chance and we should take advantage of each moment. On Nov. 1st of last year, I quit smoking after 42 years. I made that my resolution, and I did not wait for Jan. 1st, or any specific time. Each new day affords us the opportunity to repair or renew whatever we need in this life.
Mostly my new Years Resolution conected wit my family needs- I will try to be patient, loving ,caring wife and mother, not let my emotions go wild.
Thank You Mr. Burt,
It nice to hear about the 2009 resolutions.Even though i had the practice of making resolutions, i feel now it is better do such thing to have a positive attitude in completing some of the decisions or aspirations
In this regard, my resolutions are
1.To continue my contributions to my fellow engineers in delivering technical lectures
2. to wtite a book on a technical topic usefull to the practicing engineers
3. Fixing the marriage for my son and daughter who are also engineers
4 Spend time with myfamily and friends
Thank you for the reminder of the new year resolutions that were made and how we can keep them up. My major resolution last year was healing of my self. February of 2008 my surgeon performed surgery on my left shoulder. I spent the year healing and in rehab working to recover the use of my arm , it is stronger and better than it has been in the last 10 years. It is pain free also and that is a big blessing in it's self. My surgeon told me that I was a big challenge for him my shoulder was so messed up. In two more days I will see him and hopefully take me off of medical restrictions for my left shoulder. Then he will check out my right shoulder for it hurts at times also. So that is my major resolution for 2009 to make my right shoulder well. Even if that might mean having surgery on it and going through the rehab again.
I an doing all of this for my health and to heal my shoulders. Also another reason is that where I work at is constantly declining. When the day comes that I may have to look for a new job I will have two good shoulders and be able to perform the job well.
These have been my major resolution and all is going well with them.
Lawrence
Dear Burt ! It was a pleasure to hear and also see you resolutions and honesty there... For myself, I have the intention to choose to be kind rather than right (before I act !)and behold perfection sometimes behind my first perception of this world...I would also love to give out tools to change the persons I come in touch with (if THEY WANT and BELEIVE THAT THEY CAN)
I appreciate your videos when you send them...Thank you VERY MUCH from France !!!!
Hi Mr.Burt,
Based on your Hypno diet and Prosperity Plan which couldnot provide any positive results,I plan this year not to fall in such traps giving false promises.
Brgds,
Roy
Dear Sir,
It is very nice to hear from you, since you are a direct disciple of my master sri sri paramahamsa yoganandji.
Since i am in india (bangalore) there is a very remote possibility that we meet in person in this life.
My New Year resolution is to control my anger under all circumstances. It is difficult, i know! But better try than give up.
I need your blessings in this task.
love from

Dear Burt Goldman,
Thank you for sending me new year resolution.I am a silva graduate and I regularly read your online lessons and mp3.I am inspired by you lot.
Thank you, SRINIVAS KULKARNI
Thank you for your inspiration and sharing. (Had to say that before anything else)
This year I couldn't decide what to make my resolutions, not because all the areas of my life are so complete, just...well, just couldn't decide. I could have said quit smoking, but honestly, I do that one all the time, to no avail...so far. And weight...same as smoking. I don't drink, and I spend most of my time with my family.
So on New Years I decided to resolve to be more lucky and to win. I had to add the second part as I am aiming for good luck (good fortune) not bad. 2008 was particularly challenging after many challenging years. I am hoping that I have risen to the occasion and grown during these trials.
My unvoiced resolutions, that seem to still lack form are around service. But as my resources are depleted, and have been in receivership I very much want to give back and raise up those whose spirits feel limited. Just haven't figured out how to do it other than the everyday ways that I already do. I stand up for wrongs I see, and try to inspire possibilities in others. So I hope as I do the work to fill the well, that I remember my obligation to my community.
I am not at all opposed to continuing to make resolutions as the year progresses, especially since I'm not very committed to following arbitrary rules LOL hmmm, maybe I should make that a resolution?

Dearest Uncle Burt: This has already started out to be the best year ever for me. In particular, 'The American Monk', 'you precious one, are in my life and I feel so very fortunate!!I am presently on The MindBox Course and will give you my thoughts and responses in the next week and I have purchased about all of your online products and some of your physical products. I thank you for all of your wonderful offers in reference to these products. That is why I was able to buy so many of them. The two (2) resolutions which are priority for me in 2009...exercise more on a regualr basis and get out of debt......The best to you, my beloved friend. Sincerely, Victoria Ann Wike Whoops! I almost forgot, I am on your Quantum Jumping Course, the third part or CD3 And, it is so neat what you are doing for the homeless. I will do the same here where I live and I will pass it on.....My last name is pronounced Wike like Mike...
Dear Burt,
I have ejoyed, treasured, and taken to heart your wisdom, and programs with Silva as well as the wonderful meditations. My resolution is to love and enjy all people as they are. To present the positives in life, even in difficult economic times, I am full of Gratitude and God will see us through as we pray for the highest and best good for all. I would love to meet you someday...or receive snail mail from you. I desire to share yor wisdom with other people I meet. Love and Blessings, Karen
Hellllooo Burt,
Good to see that your life is running in great order. What an inspiration, I only wish we all could attain what you have. I guess we are really all on our own path, but your inspiration does help us.
I just wish I could be a mouse in your office when you are thinking out loud your lessons and writing your books, I'd be an Einstein!!

I think the most thing for us is to realize what is happening in our life.We keep our contract to everything in our life, the bad or good, the happy or the sad, anything. We do not give any judge to them, just observe, and then accept. I like to change my life ,sometimes I think that if I have big money ,I will achieve ahy dream in my life ,and I wil have no afraid in my life. But it makes me unhappy, so how could I change this ?I want to do my studing better in canada, and my boyfriend chould go the Berkely University ,USA.
So many dreams in my 2009 ,so I just keeping wish and pray?Enjoying everytime in my life.

Burt...I never really make New Years resolutions. But I do make what I call new life resolutions. Each and every day that I wake up, I do so for only one reason; because I have been given another chance to do things right, and to do the right things. So every day is a new chance at a new life, which, for me, means forgive more. This includes me. To love more. To ask the Universe to unite the world in love, peace, and happiness. And to express my heartfelt gratitude for people like you, and for the wonderful people I feel deeply connected to here at this site. As I always say, Burt, release the peace, live your love, and enjoy the ride.

It was nice to hear your NY resolutions for 2009.
My NY resolutions are:
1. Spend more time with my real family & spiritual family.
2. Spend time obtaining my spiritual degrees
3. Spend time with my 4 animals (2 dogs & 2 cats)
4. Balance my life so I have more time in the day
5. Become an advocate for helping people & animals.
Brightest Blessings to you.

Hi Burt,
I have decided to make 2009 the start of my best life yet. The first challenge I have set for myself is to acknowledge and celebrate my self-worth. It was really amazing to realize that I keep my word when I make promises to others but not the ones I make to myself! I have therefore made a list of things that I believe express self-love and over the next 30 days, I will put them into daily practice so that at the start of the second month I can add another challenge.
I wish you continued abundance in 2009!
Andria
Hi Burt
Thanks for the good wishes and all that you do as well.
My last year resolution was to lose weight so I lost 45 pounds. Another was to find a teacher that I could respect and that would open doors for me and I found you.
I am now fullfilling my other resolution which was to find a true love of my life and marry, indeed she is 10,000 away but we connected met and are almost married
Life is good on this particular path.
By the way well done on the quantum series. I have been studying the multiple path solution for decades.
I always found the key to be "free will" meaning, if we think it it MUST occur, therefore, multiple paths. simple really.
Thanks again
Well done!

I did't make any resolutions. But I loved getting this email from you and getting to watch you. The courses I purchased this winter from you, really helped me keep smiling through all the grey cold days we've had. I'm serious. It really, really did. Thank you for keeping up the work.
Thank you Burt, for your very strong and invaluable soul. Thanks God I always have resolutions, this year I want to find an excellent job, I really want to master in every sense: understanding, writing, speaking, the English language as much as I do with my native language so I can be able to communicate effectively in this country, I also want to be more organized, exercise … physically and mentally to heal my body and spirit once and for all, I want to quit smoking. This is not all I have more dreams that are waiting in line, and this is wonderful.
Thank you God for the inspiration.
Coincidently, Blanca B.
Dear Burt,
I am excited about 2009! I am looking for renewal and really a self-reinvention. I am changing my name for starters and working to flip negative situations to the positive. I will sell my house, make a much needed move and rid myself of excess "stuff" along the way, and gain more organization. I am working towards being published as well. I want to continue to be a positive influence in my student's lives and grow spiritually myself.
Thanks for sharing, and have a great year.
I do not have any other resolutions, but to continue growing spiritually, gaining more coherence in being in the now with life, also helping others in their journey of life of direction, and understanding to stay in the essence of gratification, love, and growing in inner knowledge.Thank you Burt for being a great inspiration in mine ,and the other lives you have touched! Your(student) Friend John.I just want to keep up on all the inflow of wisdom, and use it in life for good towards every strata of life.
Greetings Burt,
I`m on the edge.Possibly I get soon good job offer and it is my dream but maybe there is no dream job for me at these times. Then I feel desperation because then it takes much more time to reach my goals.
Always I remind to myself that these problems are just life lessons that makes us stronger.Quiz is that who are beyond these lessons? (I self or god?).
Bow to Burt and to others teachers and gurus.

I am grateful for my health and that my daughter and grandkids moved near me. But, I'm totally freaking my 3 year old granddaughter out with my broken front teeth. My resolution is to be able to fix my teeth. I have to chew on the front ones because the bridges in the back are gone now and I'm left without the ability to chew except with my front broken teeth. I am grateful that I have food to eat. I affirm that I will somehow manifest the money to fix them.
My resolutions really began before the new year. I have discovered energy medicine and am studying it to enhance my life. The first thing I discovered was Emotional Freedom Techniques, EFT, and since then there have been other finds. I have just bought your Life Accellerator course, so will be studying that too. In fact, there is so much help available on the internet that I am suffering a bit from information overload. I am sure that it will all settle down into a good routine, and I expect to see some amazing results.
Thank you Burt
for your humanity,
for your simplicity,
for all the deep knowledge
that you are sharing with us.
You are a real Source of Inspiration,
spreading hope and resolution around the world.
Sending warm regards, filled with peace, joy and love...
I plan to get rid of all the stuff I don't have any use for (clutter) by the end of Feb. I plan to exercise more, i plan to meditate more with your help, I plan to find a job that I love and hopefully one where I can be of use to others. I plan to say "Thank you" to all the people in my life including my husband and my kids.
So I thank you for all your insight into things that bother me, I use your Daisy pond and the Methaphor technique amoung others and find them very helpful.
Burt
Many years ago when I was struggling to keep an even keel I quietly asked what my purpose was here on earth. Ever since that time my life has changed and many good people came into my life, and I'm happy to say you were one of those special people. My New Years resolution was to continue the journey and accept what I asked for. I am using energy to heal myself and others. This is one of my greatest joys and I do see it happening. My life is a blessing and I give thanks ever day for all these miracles.
Keep up the good that you create and God bless you.
Bill
Thank you Bert. We appreciate your inspiring messages and your sharing life experiences with us. Kind regards,

Dear Burt,
Thank you for sharing your resolutions.
I’m little bit different.
Spending time with my family – I have no problem with it. I’ve been with my girl for 33 years and every day is better than the previous. We have two sons 22 and 24 both living with us. We enjoy sharing meals and conversations together.
Exercises – well this is a tough one. We enjoy x-country skiing, walks, travel, and golf in the summer. I’m happy.
Loosing weight – well I like what I eat and when I eat. I could probably shed 5-10 pounds but that does not bother me.
I do smoke but quitting smoking is not my resolution. I smoke for pleasure and enjoyment.
I drink and do not see any thing wrong with having glass of good scotch in the evening.
Enjoying live more – yes this one “hits home”. We have nice home, we travel 4-5 times a year. Unfortunately there is a “bag” that bothers us and that is financial security. We were scammed by so called good friends in to investments that took our retirement funds down the drain. Does this bother me – yes it does, but there is “but” and it doesn’t mean that the world is ending. Life goes on. We see the light at the end….. In two weeks we’re coming to Palm Springs (your neighbour hood) to see Bill Bartmann for his presentation. Back to the resolutions.
Getting out of depth – we don’t have any.
Learn something new – well live is learning road. If you think about it we’re always learning new things every day. Mother Nature provides us with the beauty of life. Winter - snow covered trees, gardens, and its cold end refreshing. Spring – we witness the new life. Summer – take walk in the park, go by the beech, take hike in the mountains. Fall – observing the trees changing colors, than dropping leafs that will provide all the nutrients for it to grow more. More on learning we meet different people every day, some are very “crapy” characters that are extremely hard to deal with, I see this as a challenge. I face them and 99.998% we go separate ways and happy. Life on this plane is way to short to be in misery.
Helping others – I here for anyone that needs me.
Getting organized – that requires commitment. Thank you sir for bringing this to my attention. This is my resolution.
PS. I would love to have you as my friend on Facebook.
Wishing you all the best, every new day will be better and better that the previous.
I really do not like your 'hard sell' tactics
I am so thankful for the things you share with us all, and love getting the personal insights to Burt Goldman. You have given me many things to think about over the year in many ways.... you are an inspiration as well as a neighbor.. lol ... am just down the road a bit in the Banning/Beaumont Area.

Hi Burt, This is my own saying: "It is Never Too Late if You Know The Way"... So, there, it is never late to make good resolutions!! This year I tried to focus more on the real situations I have going on in my life, as contrary of other years where I asked for things I would like to have in my life but maybe had nothing to do with what was going on at the moment... Just a different approach of asking, I guess... And I'm looking forward to good results!! Happy New Year from Sunny Florida!! Trudy-*
Hi Burt, I think it's great that you - even you! - still feel the need to make new year's resolutions. My resolution is to get to the bottom of how to enhance my current job. I like it but there's something missing and I intend to find out what that is. Thanks for the ideas. Leila.
Hi Burt,
I've enjoyed your works a lot, especially your online meditations.
You are a GREAT man, thank you for being you.
Warm greetings,
Gijs.
Mister Burt Goldman. It is wonderful you took the heel of Achiles of humam beings. Resolution, as human potential; must one be born with it or may it be acquired? Like you, people who achieved such kind of energy could hold on the victory flag. It is said David got the resolution and faced Goliah and won. You are a lesson for human being. Budha got resolution, Jew of Nazareth got the resolution, Burt Goldman as well. Resolution is anything formal education lack along all years (grades). You are as light shining, showing the way for humans. Burt, we all need you.
Dear Burt, Better and better
My resolutions for 2009 include guiding my 15 year old son to choosing a career. Another one is Establishing a Cooperative Federation of social work organizations here in my city. Their common goal is to help the not-so-well-off children with finding means for their education. Working together these organizations, I like to guide them toward character building and making the children to learn to honor themslves while they get educated. May be you can make our efforts achievable by some of your time tested methods. When you quantum jump, will you make a wish for us for our outstanding success with our Lord, our Creator and Sustainer? With best regards, Salah
Hello Burt;
It is always a pleasure to listen to you. I feel very much alike, it is very rewarding for me being able to help others, it is a great gift.
My new year resolution is to be guided to the right job that fulfil all my needs.
Thank you for your kindness it is a great contribution to mankind.
Leonora
Hi Burt,
Thanks for wishing all a happy new year. I want to personally wish you the same. I am inspired by all that you have done in your life to help others. As Helen Keller said "Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much"
We all can do things to help others live a better and happier life.By example,by getting involved in ones community, by canvassing our public representatives to change the system that allows people to become homeless.
I live in the west of Ireland. And while it is a beautiful place, as someone once said" you can't eat the scenery".
There are poor and homeless people in Ireland ,and because of the credit crunch, there will be more.
Keep up the good work, Burt.I continually get inspiration from you.
Kindest regards,
Patrick Connolly
Dear Burt,
It is wonderful to hear your new year's resolutions. I always learn every time I listen to your words. Thank you.
My new year's resolutions include the following two things:
1. Be a nice and kind person at every moment,
2. Visit a hospital once a week to appreciate my health and life.
God bless
Hello Burt, I just listened to your talk about resolutions and felt a need to share with you. I too have made a resolution a few years ago that I have been able to keep so far. I have made a resolution to not make new years resolutions. Let me explain, the last few years, my life has been turned around, and upside down several times because of the situation I am in. I am a spousal caregiver for my wife, which I think I have shared with you. Yea, it tough sometimes. I have been wanting to share something with you for a while now and here it is. I purchased your prosperity program and listened to the different parts several times. Here at home, on the way to work, and anytime I had a spare minute. I did not wait until a new year before starting my PA. I don't get out much because of being a caregiver so my PA grew rather fast. What I am trying to get to is that I have learned from my past expierences is not to wait to start something good and not be afraid to change if it don't work. I had to put my wife in the hospital for a few days lately and let me tell you, that play account sure came in handy. I have been able to help other people out a little with it too which gives me a great satisfaction which words cannot describe for me. I have learned to get organized, which you have to be in order to do the things I have to do. I am working on getting out of debt and gaining. Due to your prosperity Program, I have been able to really enjoy myself when my daytime caregiver tells me to get away for a day, which does happen every month or two. Your program also has changed my attitude towards a lot of stuff that goes on in my life, and I look at things differently now. I don't know if any of this makes sence or not, but I want to thank you for this program. Yes, I still face the challenges of daily stuff being a caregiver, on a very limited income, not enough time in a day and I could go on. Your program has helped me to change what I could and work with what I couldn't. Better go sign off, gotta go cook some breakfast and get the woman around for a doc appointment this morning. Thank you again. Harold
I'm tryind to do something new, something different from the past year, but it has been hard to get there because there are so many activities to be developed and the first month of the year has already gone. Nevertheless I'll go on trying and trying...
