Dear friends,

The other day I wrote a little bit about why it's important to use less of your mind. Today I'm going to be elaborating on that topic a bit as well as giving you a little taste of how to exercise your brain and how it can help you in your daily life.

Just like any other muscle in your body your brain needs exercise. Once you've gotten the hang of working out your brain new possibilities and ideas will seem to start materializing out of nowhere. Tune in below for more.

Making the Decision to Live Life with Abundance 23

Dear friends,

Grab a cup of coffee, glass of wine, or some water and relax a bit with me today. Today's chat is centered around the idea of living an abundant life. Some of you may be wondering exactly what I mean by that but it's actually pretty simple. Life abundance is about living your current life to its fullest as opposed to simply acquiring more and more "things". As I've discussed in past weeks, living a fully abundant lifestyle in the now is key to attracting abundance in the future.

Part of living an abundant life is realizing the decision making power you have. Although it's often uncomfortable, at any point in your life you have the power to make the decision to take a different path and start leading a drastically different life. Join me below as I discuss my take on making decisions as well as an unconventional decision making technique a friend of mine once shared with me.

How to Relax and Eat Your Cake Too 15

Dear friends,

Lots of people tell me they feel guilty when eating certain foods. Although I think it's very important to eat healthily and have a healthy lifestyle it's equally important to not incorrectly program yourself with self-imposed feelings of guilt.

To these kind of people I respond, "If you're going to eat cake anyway then there's no reason to feel guilty." It's more important to make the decision if you're going to feel guilty or not beforehand. Depending on your answer to this question either eat up and enjoy or don't place the order. Simple as that.

Many years ago I talked with Juan Silva of The Silva Method about this and he shared an incredible technique with me that I'll re-share with you in the video below.

How to Protect Yourself from People Who Bring You Down: “Dear Burt” – Volume 106 32

Dear friends,

Given a little thought it's not hard to pick out the people in your life who you come away from dealing with and feel just drained. Sometimes these people are the folks at work or strangers on the street but other times they are the ones we love most and our good friends. An effective way to avoid feeling drained as the day goes on is to learn and practice how to safeguard yourself against these people.

One way of protecting yourself against these kind of people is by creating an energy shield. These energy shields can work as barriers in between yourself and another person or as an all-encompassing bubble between you and a potentially draining environment.

Using Less of Your Mind: “Dear Burt” – Volume 105 9

Dear Friends,

Today I want to talk a little bit about being in control of how much of your brain you use. There's a common misconception going around these days that the average human only uses 10% of their brains, but this isn't really true. From moment to moment people use completely different parts of their brains and use them to vastly different degrees. To say we only use 10% of them would really be oversimplifying things.

The key to understanding how to use more of your mind lies first in realizing you already know how to purposely decide to use less of it. In the video below I'll explain a little bit about how you do that, and then expand the discussion to explain how you can also do the opposite and use more of your mind.

The Seven Great Principles of Hermes: “Dear Burt” – Volume 103 22

Today we're going to dive in to the subject of communication. When trying to convince others to act in a certain way it's important to think in terms of what action on your part will provoke the desired reaction in the person you're communicating with. Depending on your message this can happen in different ways.

To do this we must explore the idea of outgoing and inflowing forces as they relate to communication.

Hermes's Principle of Gender states that these two types of forces are present in all things. Whether you're talking about the yin and yang, positive and negative, or masculine and feminine, unless you have both there is no communication.

So Much Bliss and Gratitude: “Dear Burt” – Volume 102 10

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much! I can still feel the love and energy from all your warm birthday wishes last week and my words cannot express my immense gratitude to those of you who've also submitted stories for the Quantum Jumping Contest or attended my Live Seminar in San Diego.

What's the best way to reverse or slow down our aging process? Although nutrition, exercise and sleep are relevant factors to consider, I believe that your attitude is more important than anything else.

Instead of focusing on "do's and dont's", try approaching everything in life with moderation, balance and a light attitude and you'll experience a reduction on your stress levels which obviously influences your aging too.
