I need to clear the air about something here.
If you've been following me long enough, you'll remember me mentioning a few times that my photographs have been displayed in the International Photography Hall of Fame.
It recently came to my attention that a number of people have tried contacting the Hall of Fame to ask about my photographs, only to find out that the Hall of Fame has no records whatsoever of anyone named Burt Goldman.
The reason for that is simple--when submitting my work, I used a pen name. Instead of Burt Goldman, I wanted myself to be known as Jack Burton.
I did this to differentiate my photography work from my lecture material and writings, although I must admit I never expected this sort of misunderstanding to happen from it. I have already contacted the International Photography Hall of Fame and explained the situation.
So in case you were one of the people who got in touch with the Hall of Fame, I hope this paints a clearer picture for you =)
My work was originally displayed in the International Photography Hall of Fame in 1989. Apparently, over the years, much of it has been archived and in a few cases lost, or misplaced. Alas, there is only one image available there now to view - that would be my 30 x 40 image of a street in Dublin, Ireland that I named ‘Grafton Street.’

OK, we've had a few comments since I threw in an independent view point - that Burt may be more about money than kind teaching, nuggets though he presents.
It seems a few people, who don't appear negative in tone, agree with this. However the usual thing is for one to prefer the innocent answer. It would be just too uncomfortable to admit to doubts and that excessive money stripping is going ahead day after day, without any justification or disclosure as to its use.
Personal meditation and sincere teaching of people for free or reasonable cost is much needed, today. Some have very few funds to buy the expensive items you dangle in front of us all in your email campaigns. Is that the mark of a true enlightened person? I would not do that. I'd find every way possible to make the teaching free. There are many teachers who have identical material but who don't charge at all or who charge very little and you can tell they are not out for the money.
Then there's body language. Just look at two teachers reaching large numbers, Burt and Eckhart on their YouTube videos. *** EckhartTolle.com or EckhartTolleTV.com *** or search on YouTube for free talks. The first two offer a free or small subscription based richness with lots of variety yet inexpensive. It's like the difference between chalk and cheese. Body language and vibe is a powerful source too for us to FEEL, our real sense or inner feelings, about the motive if there is one, or the authenticity. We often get self-tricked into believing what we want to believe. It's very common. So many people vote for the wrong politicians they may regret later, havinh found it difficult to be objective. We often go down the route of what we always did, or family tradition, and then find we helped a disaster to happen.
Perhaps the video comparison will be interesting to some who may know they can be rather easily led. Most of us understandably prefer all to be sweet and honest and that we always think positively. Self deception is very common and quite natural.
But today we need to keep things very simple. All spiritual teachers through the centuries have done that. Life today can drive you mad with its endless offers and commercialism. Be aware, dear fellow travellers! I'm not suggesting judging anyone definitively, just to go with true feelings by letting your mind go of any anger or indignation. Stillness and calmness is the key to better intuition. I wish I could say these things in less words, so sorry! As a summary, enjoy the videos on both of these teachers' sites!!! Then feel the good in each - and let's remember to note the price!

I think all that we need in our emails is new testimonials from people achieving results with Quantum Jumping. People WANT to believe, thats why they do the research.
I have always questioned the things in my life and will always do so but i never questioned you or the things you did.I only question things that i think needs questioning.

I live in Montreal Canada and y hart goes to people that don’t have job and losing their home in the USA.I have a question for you Burt I now The planet X is going to come they say that it will be in 2012 and some people say we all going to die. I thing yes we will but not physically but the universe will force you in your everyday life to change and see the truth in you to open to the world to grow spiritual.

Just to pitch in... I agree with the comments that the flood of marketing pitch to buy this and that actually drove me away of buying anything. Since I got the free lessons it is been mail after mail of some free stuff and then buy buy! This only to say that for me if everyone, from burt goldman to the Silva program keeps creating the UlTIMATE program every week or so what is going on? only business and nothing else? Do we really need all this stuff? I take stuff out of everything I can get my hands for free but offering me 97$ deals seams a bit strange. Is it for OUR good or only a money prospect? I'm all for a good deal and business enterprise but it starts to seem too much. Even the free lessons here had a catch, get more people on their emails listings...
Burt or Jack the claims are good I don't personally know you but I admire the fact that you are were you are at your age. Do like Osho and make a website were people really can get good advice and techniques that are good for all of us. Share some stuff I don't say all of it but enough to help more people that like me funds are not to abundant...

...I still don't get it. Just received an ad for your "quantum jumping", and in it, it's stated that you took up painting at age 80. In this ad, you state that the paintings took place in 1989, which would place you at around 60.

I must make this comment for your benifit to understand my reluctance to buy any more of your programs. At first when I recieved your 7 free lessons, they came at a pace that I could try them without being rushed. I was enjoying them and felt they were doing me some good. Then all of a sudden I was bombarded with buy this and try that until it was confusing to me. It was like I was brainwashed into buying and it got away from slow pace of meditating that I was accustomed to. I enjoyed the free lessons until then.

It has been 33 years since I met you and took your Silva advanced course in California. All three of my children were blessed to be taught and guided by you, way back then.
Though none of us waste energy bending spoons anymore, we all continue to benefit from the skills you taught us, way back then.
I have been so delighted to follow your teachings as The American Monk and you have been an inspiration to me and my entire extended family. (ALL of us were students those many years ago. My sister is still secretly in love with you.)
We continue to share those genius technologies with family members as they are born into our clan.
My positive energies go to George, who has not had the privilege of knowing you for as long as many of us have. I have read and studied the works and teaching of many, many advanced people, but your way of explaining things resonates with me better than most.

1) Burt,I believe in your word. I need not checkanything or ask anybody for confirmatioin. People with little faith are somewhat like tyhe doubting apostle Thomas.
2)I am still learning computer useage,but not have not been taught about wewbpage and website.
3)I have written in similar comment pages the truth about the sex therapy you recommende at a cost of $197.00. I have not downloaded that program but did so all the bonuses you sent. I need the program as I paid for it. It is not your fault that I failed to download.

It is good that you took the time to clarify. For all those who have already gone through your works, blogs etc does not need any credentials to understand you.

By the way, why do business people send out free stuff? It's standard marketing. It looks good and it costs them nothing anyway! I hope these details are clear to us folks in case we feel we are getting a good deal here for example, top right of this page, with the free offer. Can't we have a chance to chat and praise you without being once more drawn into the sales and freebies system? There always seems to be the commercial angle to every wonderful page. Funny, that!
Sure, the contents are excellent. But the same is available in dozens of places. Not much new here. So use the good material you feel can serve you but why feel obligated to go on paying and paying. It's reasonable to get a really credible answer and proof that the immense money from so many thousands of email addresses at least is going somewhere dignified! There must be a way to justify it and prove where it's going. At 80 it's not just for cups of tea. So where IS it going. It's OUR money coming to you, so we have a good reason to ask. What about joining forces with the other great teachers so you can charge less, reach more people and converge for the good of the world, prioritising the key simple things first, like Eckhart. The rest of the life and business skills will follow. But teaching 101 things when first we all need to learn stillness of mind as the basis for any restoration of the Earth is a bit wasteful of our time in my view. But it's profitable! Enuff said! Let's get some proof please and thank you for the opportunity to mention these issues.
Thats so well written by william...in todays world, most of us, even though we want to trust others implicitly, find ourselves unable to. we have been let down so many times that its at times difficult to take things people say at face value..
Though in Burts case, he wouldnt have said something like that, which he knew could be easily verifed by people.
This site and the continual emailing people can be a highly misrepresentational way of conning people too. I'm not saying you are doing that but there's no way a spiritual master would want SO much money continuously and be so hard to contact and write so much standard postive training.
So in my long experience there's a high possibility of lack of transparency and that the fox is in charge of the hen coop. You don't publish anything criticising you. Of course you don't. I don't trust this site or your 'spirituality' - yet. But you won't reply, will you? You have your excuses every time (too many people to respond personally, sob, sob!).
I must speak my truth of feelings and not be outwitted by this gullible willingness to think the best of you and just keep paying up. You are not saying ANYTHING different from dozens of teachers I've known in a long life. And you will not publish this letter because it does not favor you. If you do I would ask you to publish a really credible person who goes right to the core of real spirituality beyond words and check out EckhartTolleTV.com, which is a true wonder of modern spiritual response to the world situation. It is clear from Eckhart's videos that 'spiritual thoughts' are a contradiction in terms. I've been meditating for 35 years and see pretty clearly what people are trying to do. But you don't answer my letters and I've been patient and polite before. Now it's time for you to answer me in public and get a grip on why certain people are truthful, positive souls, yet suspicious of your money raking.
Can't be plainer, from this highly positive person you have mercilessly spammed and don't know me personally one bit! I'm just one of hundreds of thousands of 'names' you spam with touch of a button, raking in piles of cash. Are you really 180 years old or is that part of the clever ploy? I agree with almost everyone. If you say it is so, it is. No one should need proof of something like this. It's a photo gallery, not rocket science.(but I'll just bet that you'd be good at that too, if you chose.)
What's important is the other information that you put out. I have practiced what you preach and am now the executive director of a non-profit corporation that teaches much of what you do. That would not be possible without belief in manifestation.

There are things that I doubt others but my feeling tells me that you are a person of truth. I like how you could take something so simple, be able to dissect it and explain it in such simple deep truth. But the main thing is that your knowledge that you provide us with works. If you were to stop all the guarantees and change your identity, and fly to a hidden aprt of the world.

There's nothing wrong with using a "nom de' plume" for your paintings...people are so goofy about this kind of thing, like an artist, photographer or writer is trying to be fraudulent...as if. It's not at all considered a bad thing in the arts. This just goes to show how ignorant most Americans are about the arts.
Look at movie stars, especially in the past...they almost ALL changed their names! Without the studios holding much power, not so much now.
You have nothing to apologize for to anyone.
burt..you have a grand expresion of your art to all of us an what u share is aproud expression of your work an creativity..well whrther they made it to the hall of favorite art should not matter if they are great as a picasso..who cares realy if they are presented in the greatest art building..an the fact alone that you displayed them to me was all i needed to enjoy your creative work..i was inspired an motivated to continue with projects like your paintings..mine is a neck tie mattress weaved through the bare mattress wires!!!...you just love your work an as you've done..also got to share it with the world..it doesn't matter what people say...not everyone is gonna like it an they just have their own opinion of them ...an who cares if they believe you or not!!!
