So here is my masterpiece.
I call it "The Cake Manifesto"
I apologize for my sloppy handwriting. I had so much to say and I couldn't wait till I was back at my computer - it just needed to come out! I initially wasn't planning on showing this to anyone (you'll know why when you see it)... but I think it carries a powerful life lesson.
So in a long and quite messy nutshell, what I wanted you all to know is:
You CAN have your cake and eat it too!
You can have that perfect, fulfilling job, that wonderful relationship, you can travel the world, start a business, have an abundance of cash, sit for your degree at 60, learn to fly, have a healthy body, whatever - you can have it all!
Not just one of them. Not just two of them.
But ALL OF THEM!
This "Either-Or Myth" presupposes that you can either have one or the other. We put ourselves into little boxes and keep chanting the mantra of lack!
I've heard women say that they had to give up a career they loved just so that they could be a good mother. Men who believed that in order to make money they had to work themselves sick. Friends who insist that as they grow older, the must just plain give up on life because everybody knows old people lose their health!
I, myself, have heard before that what I wanted to achieve was nearly impossible at my age - that is was "too late." Well you know the story... I am 81 years old and have accomplished everything I have ever wanted too... and I am not stopping here!
People who buy into the myth will always tell you how you must choose. "It's either, or" they say. The truth is... they say this because they don't like it when you're capable of doing it all, because it reveals their weakness, it shows them what they're NOT DOING, what they're not achieving. They will try to bring you down in order to make themselves feel better.
I want you to examine your lives now. What aspects of your life have held you down, or have you decided to let go of because you bought into the either or myth?
You can transcend and and improve areas of life when you are able to get rid of this myth.
So I hope from this day on, when anyone asks you what is most important to you, you say EVERYTHING! And never let anyone tell you otherwise!

About 10 yrs ago I too wore glasses (near sighted worse at night). for only about a year, I then decided I no longer wanted to need or wear glasses. Within a short time (a few months) I did in fact no longer need my glasses and my vision totally regained. To this day I do not need nor wear glasses. So those that are finding it a challenge to believe, first do it for yourself THEN decide if you believe it or not.
Here is Another Example: about a year ago I decided I no longer wanted flies and bugs to come around me. For quite some time, flies never were around me, I might see one in the distance but not once did one land or come close to me. Now this is really cool: I was at an amusement park and sat next to this lady on a bench, Flies were swooping in, landing on her, flying all around her. She was shooing flies, waving her arms around, but they kept bothering her. Now remember, I am sitting beside her and NOT ONE fly came close to me!! Pretty cool, right!
Ok - I' ll have that cake and eat it too, develop high cholesterol and die of a heart attack.
If life were so simple. No sacrifice, no gain. It’s obvious. If anybody tells you otherwise, just beware.
I agree though that people who live life fully, take risks, commit to relationships and have an optimistic outlook will generally be happier and live longer on the balance.

Hi Burt - it's wonderful to have energy souls in the universe counteracting the negative agenda of the controlling illuminati factions - research into what's really going on in the world has made me much more aware of how humanity accepts so many limiting beliefs to the point of consigning bulk humanity to little more than 'slaves' of those who pull the strings. These are some great affirmations to live by. I say a lot of this stuff to myself every day. I'm also happy to have "Awakening Prologue" mediatation cd's from Bill Harris. I can't seem to quiet my mind when I do traditional meditation and with those cds I don't have to. While I'm listening I constantly give myself positive affirmations, including "Every day in every way, I am getting better and better and better." I notice things are changing slowly for me. Slow is ok. It's not like the negative programming happened over night. Slow is better than no change at all! One thing I think you should've added to the bottom of the list is I am ______________________! I say to myself I am wealthy, I am healthy and so on and so forth. The heck with I can be.....I am!!! Sorry this post is so late, but my computer crashed. I just got everything fixed and updated a couple of days ago. I'm just getting caught up on email. Take care and keep the positive coming.

I have only one statement that I have some doubts. That is one can have both a successful career as well as a wonderful family life. I've seen many working parents (both husband and wife) that work so very late and have very little time for the kids in the evening by the time they come home at night. Perhaps that statement is not meant to be taken literally... balance is the key to it, I think. Perhaps it has to be taken, how can one balance family and career.

You're truth resonates with mine. I have been testing this theory for over a year now and am giddy with the results.
I work less and enjoy life more. I have time to meditate, share my gifts with my loved ones and community, and to see the beauty in everything.
My only frustration is the many people around me who don't believe the validity in having everything that you want. I am frustrated of the limitations that people put in front of themselves.
I wish that more people believed in their own power and could see that they are the only thing in the way of absolute happiness.
Whenever I find myself in a quandry of either this or that (limitations), I remind myself that these are only illusions. Once I make that realization, these illusions melt away and I am again energized.
It is the most beautiful realization ever and I thank you for diligently spreading this love to others. It's wonderful to do what you love, yes?

This is cool what your doing and all..but you need to stop broadcasting this amazing ability to ANYONE who happens to stumble upon your website. You're making it WAY to easy. You worked hard to come up with all of this, why cant everyone else? A skill like quantum jumping should be earned. You could at least raise the price a couple hundred dollars... And do you have any idea what the world would be like if everyone could just pick up any ability at will?

I was raised believing I couldn't have much of anything so I chose carefully. I've been at peace with those choices and each of those choices broadened what I felt "I could have." As I grow older I realize there is much more I'm going to do! It has nothing what so ever to do with what I believed I could or couldn't have any more. It is just what I'm willing to put myself out there and try. Next year I want to ride cross country on a motorcycle. The first time I mentioned it I was told I couldn't with my back problems. Well I guess I'll just have to show them I can!

Can we stay Forever? I believe yes. For the first 40 years of my life I was facing my fears and limitations trying to not hate myself for it. Now, I have learned to challenge them, because I know that "I can" if I really want to. I am still learning to love and accept myself unconditionally. But at 48, I feel too young to most people of my age, who already think about their retirement and upcoming health problems. It's like their lives are almost over- for me it feels like it just started! I enjoy to eat "my whole cakes" and I am not afraid to get fat, haha-the most of people do. I love to hear from such young people like yourself Burt-it's truly empowering. Thank you.

Nice in theory. I need help getting a job. That's the reality. I need more than a job. I've tried meditating my problems away but every time I get enthused about my prospects I am either nuts (put into the system as being such) or disappointed. After you've lost everything in the way I have it is difficult to go on. I've changed my mind before and been positive and really tried. What do you do when you have lost so much hope that you don't want anything anymore other than the suffering to end? If someone can help me, that would be great. If some of you can pray for me, thank you. It is very sad to give up and I really don't want to. But when you get to the point where you are 'reality challenged' it makes the leaps of faith really difficult and scary in my situation.

Thanks for the inspirational message. It's finally nice to hear someone else say what I've believed all my life, and wondered if I'm crazy because it just may isn't possible? I welcome learning from those who have succeeded in finding the life they want... I want to find that place too where there is enough time, happiness, health and wealth to enjoy life with my family and friends... all without worrying that my career will dissolve and I'll be forced to live on food stamps. Loved your eloquent hand-written note. You take the most powerful teachings and make them so easy to grasp. I always thought, "why should we have the cake and not eat it?" I left it at that. But, Burt, you certainly are one to give us food for thought (please excuse the pun). I think the answer is, 'because we feel guilty about it (and that 'it' is most of the important things in our life)'.

Okay, this cake manifesto is my mantra! I say it no matter what, always have and always will but there is a slight problem.
If you bring this tone, this topic, this subject, this underlying cause into any conversation, argument, discussion or just plain tone of voice/ body language. Ya know what happens?
EVERYONE!
That means, the baker, the maker, the mom, the dad, the fast food worker, the grocery clerk, the kids even (who are at school playing at the swing set) will totally prove you wrong.
Even if your just stating something they will look for a way.
Everyone. Meaning no one (but the few of us who believe it) left out.
Once when I was 17 I was trying to volunteer at a boys and girls club. I was talking to a girl who was sad because someone stole her soda after she had used her allowance (a whole months worth of her first) to buy it.
She just wanted a soda while watching the power rangers first movie.
So I bought her a new one and explained to her "hey, don't worry about him he'll reap what he sowed, I got this can for you".
And here was her response "Well, that's great, thanks for nothing sir. I mean, I am glad you got me a soda but that doesn't change the fact he took my stuff! Look, you don't know what your talking about, your shoes are old and I see a hole in the top of the tongue on the right one. Your pants aren't in style and your hair cut could be fresher. You have no clue, why don't you tell that to a priest or something. I know what I want and I wanna watch the movie stupid".
So, how do you get rid of the myth?
What is the hidden catalyst?
There has to be some way to actually have both.
There, like you said is the proof it's all possible.
But where is the magic mental gun that can shoot the self limiting section in the sub conscious that is brought out every time you hit the deal breaker.
That deal breaker, that I speak of is contact with others.
Like, how do you go and not bring out the contradictions from others that spawn the thoughts that draw out the limiting beliefs?

By grace of God,Burt has been gifted with an avalanche of energy & wisdom, so much that even had he tried to dam it up, he'd have burst, & hence we are the beneficiaries of this shower of nectar.
The power-surge-technique that u revealed in the teleseminar which I heard yes'day is probably the trick to keep us energised all the time. I suggest that this may be given ahead of the daisy-pond meditn. in your free lessons. It is just too basic to be kept to the last. All the techniques fall flat, till the body is revved with energy. And combined with the other "Spring Forest Qigong" by Chunyi Lin where Tummy moves in when u breathe in, & vice versa, I think would make kings of us.

One question though can I really eat all that cake without gaining weight, my daughter has bought a toy that keeps telling me I'm obese as it is! Mind you it gave my age as -13 to reality so thats probably why I didn't throw it in the bin!

I have over a hundred motivational books and been doing this for 28 years. People think I'm nuts... Had about 5 persons say I changed their lives so I guess it's a good thing. Would love to effect much more... Listened to your reunion with Laura Silva and it seemed like a commercial verses a well polished master. You were very gracious… Once trained for 10 years in Kung Fu and you remind me of the old saying “He who knows not, speaks much. He, who knows, doesn’t have to”. Out of work for 5 months now and can’t afford your product, but will certainly buy in when on my feet again. Simplicity is the art. Real good stuff, master…
My Thoughts...
Burt - I hear what you are saying, but I am still working on manifesting it. Sometimes I feel like I am getting clearer and closer. Sometimes things come easily and sometimes they take longer. I have been programming for some time now, but in beta it sometimes seems like an uphill battle. The Quantum Jump program has been a real lifesaver for me. I use it on average several times a week. It is the most amazing thing. I'll take your words as encouragement to continue making improvements to my programming. Thanks for all you have shared with us. You are truly an inspiration.

Unlearn all that was taught to you as a child.Reprogram your mind positively and invincible thinking for sucess.People tell me I have always had luck but that is only with money and things falling in place.Relationships and injuries not healing right away on the other hand not so effective.I read all kinds of self help books and I truly thought I was positive from them untill I heard my complaining at work or about things here and there.I have struggled behind closed doors with abusive relationships,my child being abandoned by his birth father and raising a child on my own from for the last 13 years.I am 33 have a house almost paid for and money and job that pays well.I want and desire to write a book.I will one day..I have always told myself that.I wanna be successful and wealthy so I can volunteer my time to help people.I speak to the universe,you all should try it does work,

Burt, Can a person grow new teeth at 60? This has held me back. I had bridges and when the tooth next to them went, I lost 3 more as a result. This was on my lower right and my upper left side. That's 8 teeth plus - well anyway I have only 17 left. You can see the delima. With no teeth to chew with I had to chew with my front teeth and now they have broken which makes less than 17 total and it looks awful. I'm working on manifesting the money to fix them but would rather grown new ones. I truly wish someone was working on this concept. I saw on Oprah where a man grew a new tip on his finger (nail and all).

claim all, have all and never lack anything. In one sentence you made me clearly see how conditioned I am. I wanted to choose all (instinctively) but I erronously assumed that you probably wanted one answer and that the system, as usual, would not allow me to select more than one, and I went for joy. This was not a bad choice but it would have required more work to achieve the rest. Basing decisions on common assumptions rather than intuition is also part of this conditioning, I guess! This is even worse than the "Either Or" Lie.

That was a trick question you gave us! No wonder I was not sure if my answer was correct, but, I'm glad I have a concrete answer now, I just wonder how long it's gonna take me to get everything I want. Because I want it now! We settle for modesty at least, I think that is what I do but then achieve and bring forth very little as a result. This is not the mindset that produces success and abundance. And you can say that you should get that kind of training, but do you think, still, can all of us become as succesful as you have made yourself???all people have different level of interest's and can devote only so much time of their life because of the cycle we are put in of paying bills,taxes and working,where is the time and energy for exploring guru's and their teachings like you did in the past>.

Regarding the glasses thing, I know several older people who have spontaneously stopped needing glasses and reading glasses after decades or a lifetime of use, and it's always been the result of a cognitive/energetic shift and had no explanation in the "hard" physical world (i.e. no dietary changes, no surgery, no habit changes, etc...). I'm always nagging my 60 year old dad when he puts on his reading glasses and saying "ya know you could get rid of those if you wanted to, right?" and he always replies "Yeah, I know..." :-p. It's funny that he thinks he needs them as he's financially successful, stronger and healthier than he was at 20 and all as a result of looking at his beliefs around sickness, weakness and poverty in 1972 and saying "yeah, I don't need those any more". Yet, that ONE little belief with the glasses remains...:-D
If only people would take responsibility for all aspects of their own lives and extrapolate a small thing like curing one's eyes to reveal that we have nearly infinite power to shape our own universe, what a world we would wake up to. It would become paradise in an instant.

Every area highlighted in your list is important depending on the individual but some people have preferences.
If one has to base it on a logical sequence on which area is most important, I still maintain that health is.
Having too much good food and good life and and getting ill or if one has hereditary health problems, it will not be meaningful even if all the other areas are fulfilled. One will then need wealth to maintain health and spending a lot of money while lying on the sick bed or constantly taking all those poisons called 'medicine' is not a rosy picture.
But I agree with your story. One does not have to always make a choice. It is whether you think it is important and you want it or not or one may just be complacent.
Great!!!!! Yes, we can have our cake and eat it too! I keep forgetting and often return to "worry and wondering" instead of simply living and believing.
I am getting much better at knowing and things are beginning to open up for me!

Those hand written notes are a bit of cheer-leading rather than real wisdom. It's easier said than done.
I tried having it all and believe me--it did not work. I did believe I could and held one well-paying full-time job while jointly owning a fabulous company my husband, had a beautiful baby, bought a new house,had wonderful friends, and loved my life! BUT it did not last and that surprised me completely because I really did think I could have it all. I was on the top of the world and it all ended and was a shock to me.
I held no myth about anything and had no limiting beliefs about anything. I truly thought I could do just about anything and as long as I worked hard and was a good person it would come and it did until it didn't!
Real wisdom is that life is unpredictable and you may have ups and downs but it's the way you react to them that the key to real success. You can really do anything but you cannot control the outcome, you can only control your reaction to it.

On the surface, I would appear to be very successful. Internationally known in my career, a best selling author in my subject, a designer of a range of products, but despite all of this, I am still struggling financially (mine is a career in which it is notoriously difficult to make money, and I have always felt it more of a vocation)and a lasting relationship has eluded me.
Despite several years of self development work, after watching the DVD 'The Secret', which in many ways, ultimately led me to your site too, the financial success still eludes me. I do not seek great wealth, just a secure future, and at 55, it would be nice to see it starting to happen!
I have learnt to see the silver linings in even most negative situations, and have learnt a great deal, but despite my best efforts, I cannot seem to access the 'alpha state' and 'quantum jump'. I am not someone short on imagination, and I really want this to work!! Is there a PDQ forum whereby we can discuss this sort of problem?

It is the patriarchal/christian society we live in that squashes our hopes and dreams. If people actually THOUGHT about what they did, what they were told, and why, they might want to change course. This society is geared for the success of the educated white male. Everything else is tokenism. Until there is complete equality in life, and education is available to all, this society won't change. As individuals we can only do so much with the circumstances we have in life without thought. Everyone is looking for love and fulfillment in life, and that is something we can control. To have success and fulfillment requires THOUGHT and ACTION. As an example, when a 16 yr old girl doesn't get that from her family, and tries to find it in the arms of a boy and ends up pregnant, she usually ends up poor and is forced to raise the child alone. How does that help her, the child and society in general? She is not mature enough, nor is she educated enough to understand the consequences of her actions long term, and everyone suffers. I have thousands of other examples, in this society they are easy to come by.
I've been lucky in life, I have had logic training, and I have studied history and I know that the "powers that be" manipulate the masses into thinking what they want them to think. Funny how 15 years ago very few had a cell phone, but now people say they can't live without them. It's marketing people, just like what Burt is doing now (that message was not written by hand, I can tell) Everything is marketed, from religion to soft drinks, and you wonder why this society is messed up. Instead of thinking for themselves, they believe what they are told via TV and computer and forget how to think. My advice to the world is QUESTION EVERYTHING, because I know that everyone lies. From preachers to monks, teachers to politicians, EVERYONE LIES. Keep that in mind whenever someone tells you something. Before believing anything anyone says to you investigate it first. You will be glad you did, and it will empower you. From there, you can do anything.

thank you for your messages, i am in a very difficult part of my life and i dont no how to change my current circumstances. i am married with 2 children, my husbend is a very succesful oil trader. i have no career no qualifications, and i recently found out my husbend has been cheating on me for the past 4 years, with escorts etc, he has treated me very bad in the past 4 years because my second child was an unplanned conception, he didnt want her, and i didnt want to go through an abortion, because i had done so before.
i dont know what to do, he swears he will never do this again, i want to believe him, but 4years is a long time for so many lies.
i want to have a career, but i've been depressed for so long i dont know how to do anything to achieve that. i just dont know how to go on anymore.
i dont know who will read this or if it has any relevence to what you required to come out of your question, i just dont see anything that can help me get away from the negative feelings i'm feeling. can any one help.

Thank You for the eye opener! It fits in with what I am doing so perfectly. Being a mother, have a husband that is an over the road driver, have animals and starting my own business. A lot on my plate - in the beginning I didn't know if I could do it, but then looked at what do I want/desire? I wanted all those things! - my husband wants to farm and I love to have my own garden and animals, so I am doing much of the work on my own till my husband can stay home. It can be tough sometimes, but now I have several tricks up my sleeve to overcome stress (quantum jumping, EFT, Silva is a few).
When building my own healing business and wanting to learn as much as possible from other teachers, I realized I was limiting myself by believing; I can't afford that, I don't have a babysitter etc. Well I looked at me beliefs last week and decided I was going to do this 3 day workshop offered in my town this coming weekend. The clients came (now have the money to pay babysitter) and I have extra to pay the workshop. (they also lets me make payments) Planning to do more workshops in the future and will be deleting beliefs that are no longer serving me. And you mentioned a few of them!

This is so true. i have been working for mt dad for the last 20 years and i felt like a nothing because he always told me i could be nothing without his business.
I left the business a year ago and have been so happy just thinking positive like you say.

Bert it didn't even occur to me that is the way I am living. My life is filled with lack, ill health and old age, just getting by on what little money I get, oh if I can just squeak through another day? Everyone around me is in the same boat, so I must be normal?

Let me say,as 65 year old, that I was brainwashed in the old ways and as a consequence I have spent my life working hard, obeying the so-called rules. Why oh why didn't I discover you earlier, maybe I would have got more fun out of life, not that I didn't have fun, but it could have been better and more rewarding.
Atlast, someone who has voices my rumbling thoughts...... And i thought what i believed secretly was soo outstanding that i could only say it to few people. Others thought i was out of touch with the "real" world. the way it works.......
Now i will be bolder in saying what i believe however outrageous it seems to the listener as long as I believe it.
