The Unstoppable Effect 32

Because of the nature of my work, I’ve spent my entire life meeting all sorts of people. Rich, poor, happy, sad, and everything in between.

But even so, there’s always one kind that never fails to amaze me — the person who dares to live his or her dreams.

You probably know one or two people just like this. They’re not necessarily wealthy (although they often are) — they’re simply living their life in the EXACT way they want to, and doing the kind of things other people only talk about. Maybe that means changing the world. Or owning a successful business. Or being a musician. Or even something simple like having more time for the kids.

Dreams vary from person to person, but the same magical thing happens to anyone who lives them — they find true happiness and satisfaction, and begin to glow from the inside out.

My friend, best selling author and motivational coach Cynthia Kersey (you may remember her from this post) calls them ‘Unstoppable People’, because nothing can stop them from living the lives they want to live. And after decades of interviewing and studying the secrets of these people, she’s discovered how the rest of us can become just like them.

She calls her discovery the Unstoppable Effect, and it’s one of the most simple yet highly effective success principles I’ve ever seen. According to the Unstoppable Effect, you will significantly increase your chances of achieving your goals and living your dreams just by observing the successes of Unstoppable People.

I know how hard it is to stick to those New Year resolutions we all wrote down as 2009 was on the corner, so there’s no better time than now to show you this — a video interview with the late Dame Anita Roddick, founder of the Body Shop, philanthropist and one of Britain’s most loved Unstoppable People.

The link doesn’t work; but your “link” does, dear Burt. Thank you so very much. After, what seems like endless study, It finally comes down to employing what we’ve learned>it occurred to me, finally, that I had to start with the Truth and relate everything back to Source. We are exactly what we think we are. I now understand Rumi was entirely correct when he mused that ‘mankind is afraid of its own immortality’…(to paraphrase). That is the deep-seated/seeded fear. Fear of flying out of Egypt/wilderness of thought/solar plexus/ego.

I love ‘The Daisy Pond’ meditation! This is good & very good. I’ve forwarded to my friends. My thought here is, if you’d be so kind, after playing in the snow and returning to the pond that you would say “now you know that anything you desire is already here for you (before Abraham was, I Am and “yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus”). It is Expansion, Explosion = Expression. Trinity. So just an added minute where you say ‘now in-vision’ your deepest desire, knowing it wrongs no man to meditate on the desire of your heart. And focus entirely on your thought. Then, and only then, can you exit the daisy pond. Intention/tension. Intentional tension = focus. Implosion. Beautiful. Immaculate expression. I’d buy that CD!

Hi Burt

Thankyou for sharing this with all of us.

Very Inspiring!

Women like Anita, paved the way for women to change the style of business.
With her strong detemination, she survived & flourished in a very left brain dominated world. She & other women like her have proven that it does n’t all have to be “dog eat dog”.
The femine apects of “instinct & feelings” that Anita speaks about are only just beginning to be given the value they deserve.
But also as Ania hinted at, at the end, there is still a huge neeed for change.

Dear Burt, it’s amazing how this woman could interpret her feelings through this that made the train of thoughts in an understandable verbal peformance. I myself have the feeling, that she could help me how to exactly perform my inner intensions and execute it into my country’s surrounding. Maybe tou know already about the exact situation of Indonesia that has been recognized lately as the number ONE corrupted country in the world because of our leaders.

Hi Burt,

Thanks for sharing the video, makes me more courageous for all the things that I want to happen in my life. I think I have to adopt the techniques of “Unstoppable People” also in pursuit of my dreams.

Much appreciation,

I see it not so much as a woman in a man’s world but as an outsider figuring out how to make it work, in any world. The key is the drive she had to do things her way and a clear vision of what that was. You don’t need the whole vision, just what you are obsessed with doing next. It pieces itself together from there. Once that goal is reached, let go of it and find your next one. As I kid I wanted to travel and I wanted to be a mad scientist or an inventor. Now I travel the world designing technical systems for theme park attractions. I am an outsider in that I have no college education and now I spend most of my time managing engineers with big educations and stretching what they believe is possible to build.

Leila says

Hi Burt, Anita Roddick sounds as though she found the business world quite male orientated and as though she thought this was a shame as female business ideas can be very different from male business ideas and could be complimentary in ways we don’t yet know. I think women should be encouraged to be women in the work place. Thanks for sharing the video.

Good Morning Burt.

Thank you for this inspiring message. I didn’t know who or how the Body Shop came to be and it is so nice to see that someone so human as Anita speak of what she wanted her business to look like. Dreams are fantastic and we should never loose sight of what is important to us. Not the money, not the notoriety, just the thought of helping people the best we can.

Have a wonderful day.

Debra says

Hi Burt,

Thanks for your message. You know I have had so many people tell me this past year that I have changed so much that they can just see that I am a much happier person than I ever was before. I was married for 25 yrs. and for many of the last ones our relationship was not working. It takes two people so it was both of us. I finally decided that it was time to make a change. Why make two lives miserable for another 25 yrs. So I decided to leave and get a divorce. Now I am not an advocate of divorce. I truly believe in marriage as long as you are married to the right person for the right reasons. We grew apart.

I am doing well and am looking forward to sharing my life with another man some day, the right one. I am now happy with myself and I am enjoying my life.

Hi Burt,

Thank You for sharing! This is an amazing inspiration; that anything is possible when you put your mind to it. I grew up on Body Shop products and they are wonderful. It is really nice to hear Anita Roddick speak about her success, something I didn’t know about before.
Thank you. Have a blessed day.

Love,

Rev. Mary Madeline

P.S. Have been listening to your Quantum Jumping and am loving it! Will give you feedback on that later as well.

Burt
Thanks for this insightful interview. I agree completely with Anita and I believe that in the future there will be no more Corporates as we know them. I’m really looking forward to that day because it will also be the day when people start doing things for themselves and moving away from the conventional debt trap and into their own far more productive and creative lives drawing on the mind for inspiration using techniques like meditation and maybe even the mind box series.
I think also that more women should be running in politics because of their more holistic approach to people and their readiness to embrace their own intuition.

I think she was an inspiration and shows that you don´t need to think ´huge´million dollar earnings to be successful. It is about doing what you love, doing it well and being grateful for what you achieve. And in the process, you will eventually be as successful as others only dream about.
