Many years ago, I was for­tu­nate to spend an after­noon with a Navajo Med­i­cine Man. Upon my leav­ing, he said to me: “Cyn­thia, remem­ber to always keep a rain­bow wrapped around your shoul­ders.” I share his wis­dom with you.

The White Light is com­prised of all col­ors of the seen and unseen spec­trum. The Rain­bow I keep wrapped around my shoul­ders is my “God Light.”

Please explain why you call your­self a monk? I have met many (gen­uine) monks and it seems the main aim of these peo­ple is to over­come the three defile­ments / poi­sons of the mind, in short their egos.
per­haps the title “Monk” you’ve adapted is sim­ply a pitch or a sales gim­mick (which seems to have been suc­cess­ful) If this is so, I sug­gest you admit it, how­ever if you main­tain that you ARE an “Amer­i­can Monk” this would nee3d some explanation.

Well friend, I am an 81 year old Athe­ist — a Spir­i­tual Athe­ist. I have found the word ‘God’ repug­nant. The God of reli­gion as defined, is not pos­si­ble. No ‘God’ can become angry; no per­fect any­thing can be jeal­ous, petty, or want any­thing. If God wants you to do some­thing, or be some­thing — or loves you and wants to be loved — well, that con­cept is man-made. What is behind all this is not an invented God, but some­thing far more glo­ri­ous. This is why the Jews cre­ated a word no one was to utter. As soon as you define it you lose it.
The ‘God’ con­cept was not to become an entity. I feel cer­tain it was to tell us that we come from a Matrix of pure Spirit. Man [men] sym­bol­i­cally rep­re­sent SPIRIT — Women sym­bol­i­cally rep­re­sent MATTER.“God” is PURE SPIRIT, there­fore mas­cu­line. Mankind is also Spirit, but with a mate­r­ial body. The wed­ding of Spirit with Mat­ter. Even sex is sym­bolic and shows us who we are. Spirit, male, goes into Mat­ter, female — out of which comes mankind. We are Spirit beings in a mate­r­ial body and world.
Until we see things from the view­point of sym­bol­ism we will never under­stand . Truth was always hid­den in sym­bol. That is why Jesus spoke to his dis­ci­ples in parables…

I believe we are ALL part of God. There is no sep­a­ra­tion, the God energy or Source as I like to say, works through us. If we do some­thing as sim­ple as appre­ci­ate some­thing every­day (I appre­ci­ate the sky in ALL conditions)we will begin to really KNOW the God energy and feel a shift in how we view every­day life.

Thius is why i will never take you off of my sub­scrip­tions. Even being loaded with emails from about 8 dif­fer­ent peo­ple i will always remain here. i have taken those 8 down too about 4 and i am going for 3 but i think i might keep 4, its an unusual num­ber but not an odd one. I like your depic­tion of God burt. Jesus was boy but even though God is the father the son and the holy ghost that doesnt mean God is also. But , now explain to me how you beleive this white light formed the plan­ets. I acually doubt you answer would have any sci­ence to it. not to men­tion you just gave me a bril­liant the­ory about the energy known as chi. chi could be a lit­tle frac­tion of this white light God gave to us. this the­ory (yours)
seems to be sim­i­lar to Gerrald’s “Enter the Matrix” remote vei­wing idea. that we are all made up of tiny vibra­tory light par­ti­cles in a sea of even more par­ti­cles. God may see us as light then, he can instantly see how cor­rupt or non cor­rupt we are before we go to heaven. I DONT EVEN HAVE MIND BOX AND THIS VIDEO COMPLETELY GAVE ME A WHOLE BUNCH OF IDEAS!

There is no sep­a­ra­tion between us indi­vid­u­als and God. That bright white light is within us, it is at our cen­ter, it per­vades us, it per­vades every sin­gle par­ti­cle of our selves. Med­i­ta­tion allows one to become con­scious and aware of this.

I have always said the the world needs more spir­i­tu­al­ity NOT reli­gion. Spir­i­tu­al­ity is the BEING and Reli­gion is the DOING. Basi­cally it’s a cause and effect rela­tion­ship. Unfor­tu­nately, many of us in this planet have put the cart before the horse! This has led to a lot of bias, prej­u­dices, dis­trust and intol­er­ance in the world. In the name of reli­gion many lives have been lost, in the name of reli­gion hate has been fomented. The embod­i­ment of a spir­i­tual per­son is LOVE, and the lack of this splits human­ity apart. I sup­pose the under­ly­ing fac­tor is FEAR, fear cre­ates most neg­a­tive emo­tions and actions and the only anti­dote is LOVE. Rest in peace Michael Jack­son, our generation’s mes­sen­ger of LOVE!
