It is a bile duct disease that ultimately involves the liver. I also have hypothyrodism, swollen spleen, portal hypertension, and recently was hospitalized for upper GI bleed. Very- very scary as I found myself passed out. They say there is no cure just pills to slow down progression. Liver transplantation is only cure. Oh yes and I also have autoimmune hepatitas. My liver doc says I have some kind of bacteria or virus. Why can't they do some kind of bug testing on me? Too many bacteria's and virus's out there? I pray for some kind of insight into this and am willing to be one of those Medical Miracles, I will gladly sing praises from anywhere!!!! I have a special needs son, whom I love very much and don't want to leave alone. Burt you are a special man and God Bless you for your work and continue to live a blessed healthy life....Also to all of you and anyone reading this, I send blessings and light, I have lots of compassion for you. What can he do to heal this and turn this around. He walks with a cane now, he cannot speak and he is losing the ability to swallow. Like everyone else, more income is needed as well.
