Hi Burt just discovered you through Vishen who had the generosity to answer a few of my logical \ sceptical questions...In gratitude/acknowledgement i decided to buy on of the courses on finerminds. I chose loveorabove by christie marie sheldon..and i am gradually working throuh the course..

I am extremely impressed with your laid back wise advice.

What seems to be attracting me to your site is your talent for explaining everything in such simple laymans terms. I have found unable to disagree with any of your advice and as you say if it all sounds a bit Harry Potter - there is no harm in giving it a go.

Ive been up to 5.00am twice now reading/downloading your blog I'm on March 2009 now lol.

Take Care and I truelly admire that basically you are tryi ng to help people..

I work with naughty teenage boys in Liverpool (emotional, behavioural and social disorder) any chance of some yoda advice, techniques, parables, signposting,
help!

Thank you, Ian EBD

Oh forgot why I started to write this. In your quiz I tryed to chose most of them but could only have one. then I scrolled up and read your written post which said you can have everything - just seemed a little contradictary. A "put in order" quiz may have better suited your needs.

Spirituality, because I am working on being my true self ready and willing to help others. My desire is to be a faith/mind/body healer, use ESP, read auras. I am increasing my intuition and clairvoyance each day. We all should want and need the God-in-me and I-in-Him.

I picked relationships because it's the only thing to look back on as the years go by. Your boss will forget you, friends move one, children grow up and if you don't work on nuturing the relationships that bind all you have in the end is yourself. Relationships take work. Work is hard.

I've spent most of my life saying "yes" when I wanted to say "no" and "no" when I wanted to say "yes" just because I was afraid I was going to disappoint someone or be disapproved of by someone. GUILT IS A HUGE WASTE OF TIME AND LIFE and people in authority (such as parents, teachers, clergy, relatives, etc...) use it on a regular basis. It can be so subtle and insidious and seemingly innocently like a slight hurt look and downcasting of the eyes to show that what you just did or said or decided is now responsible for the other person's unhappiness in the hope that you will do what they want and put your desires 2nd to theirs.
As a result I've rarely followed my passion. SEE THAT!! I'm making someone else responsible for the fact that I consider myself to be a failure. So it serves my purpose.... I don't have to take responsibility for it. I just blame someone else and I get to play the "Poor Fred" part. What a game, eh?

I am at a vital turning point in my life. I am going through a very ugly divorce and fighting to get my son back form an abusive husband(who views people as possetions). He has manipulated my family to testify aginst myself in court. With all these challenges I have chosen to look at life as 'WHAT IS IT THAT I SHOULD LEARN FORM THIS?' I recognize that I have chosen abusive relationships because that his all I know. Now I know I have choices, and I choose differently so that I can live the life I was born to live. I don't want to be a checked out victim, now I choose to conquer and thrive.

When we state a word, we impose a limitation on our thinking, confined to the definition of the word stated. When looking over your list, Burt, I am looking for the word that gives me the most limitless feeling. "Passion", nope. "Beauty" (of what?) of body, nope. "Energy", hmmm, close, but nope. "Money", comes and goes, nope. "Relationships", nope. "Health", death overtakes, nope. "Joy", momentary or permanent?, nope. "Spirituality", would require your definition, but my inner feeling of the word "spitituality", as defined by me, places the least limitation on my thoughts, thus I choose "Spirituality".

I know the joy of happiness but contrain myself from really indulging in it as much as I wish I could. Life is good, but I know it could be incredibly fantastic. It is quite frustrating knowing I am somehow holding myself back from the great joys found in fullness of life. I sometimes write stories in which I am the character who experiences what I don't. This vicarious activity is pleasant but surly it is secondary. I wish I could jump into the character's I write about - that would literally be a dream come true.
