The video is certainly most inspiring. Susan's voice is brilliant and true. I watched several of the other videos also and noticed something I've seen in a few other cases. When the TV people get their hands on a natural singer whose voice is superlative, they often spoil it's natural charm and quality by trying to shape it to their own vision...the way they think it should be to be acceptable to TV audiences.
Susan Boyle's gift is perfect the way it is. The phrasing, the passion and sincere feeling of it is why her audiences loved her singing in the first place. I guess it illustrates the old wisdom of 'be true to yourself'. I hope Susan takes hold of the reins and command of her own destiny once again if she hasn't already. Her life and talents are a great lesson for us all. Thank you Burt for reminding us of the beauty we all have to give to the world.

I have seen parts of her performance before, but this video let me come close to her. She mesmerized me with her talent, I smiled when she took up her singing, I laughed against her doubters. When she finished I clapped my hands long after she was done.
I am usually a cold-blooded man but not this time. I both honored her skill but I think most because she had beaten the ods against her person. She had been laughed at for many a day but this day was her VICTORY DAY! I hope the world finds many of her kind.

Yes Burt She The Cream on the pie,I saw her once before when I used to watch Tv,on the Opra show,Thank you I had never see that clip of her she brought tears to my eyes than and than again now.
Wow, incredible. Absolutely. Tell you a secret, I have not seen American Idol or heard Susan Boyle sing. I have heard about the show and the singer but I do not watch television. When Susan first started singing I couldn't believe my ears and for an instant I thought she must be lip-syncing. Wow, absolutely sensational...what a testimony of faith and perseverance. Thank you, Burt, for sharing.

No one on this earth is not without power. Its in all of us. Its inbuilt in us, this energy that God has given to us freely. Susan had this energy and she did something about it, even though it was so late in her life. So it shows that no matter how long we hum and ha about what we can do and what we cannot do, the thing is to just let go and do what your heart tells you to do. You don't know what you are gifted with unless you go forward and do it, like Susan did. Love and bless her soul
It was inspirational, it brought tears to my eyes and I am a musician as well, but she knew all along she could do it. She trained to be a professional singer, but no one would give her a chance. The reason everyone was against her was because of her looks, and possibly even her age. But what about a person who sets a goal to make, let's say a million dollars in 2 years and what if that person is talented in several areas and has made good money before (but not that kind of money) and lost it all and even went in debt severely, has no credit and the cards seem to be stacked against him? I've always been told that if you set a goal that is realistic and attainable, then it is not a good goal and that one should think big, really big. There is no show for this person to go on to audition for a million dollars. He is totally dependent on the Universe, he just reads his goal every morning and at night before bed. And thinks positive all the time no matter what the life throws at him. How can that compare to Susan Boyle? The only thing stacked against her was her looks, which actually have nothing to do with vocal ability. Her goal was very realistic and very attainable, because she knew she could sing and she knew she could sing very well.
I have seen that video dozens of times and it still brings tears to my eyes. Her performance is proof positive that we are limited only by our beliefs. Susan boyle has reaffirmed the truth to the world. "We can do anything we choose to do"

The performance of Susan Boyle is beyond words could ever express! It speaks to a person's heart and soul. Performance like Susan's is what the American/Global planet seeks through difficult times...to find the hidden talent within each and every one of us, when we have been told other! I couldn't be more proud of Susan! I ADORE her humility!!! The performers today wear such arrogance!!! This was refreshing beyond anything!!

I am so happy to see this again...seeing and hearing this beautiful performance by Susan always brings tears to my eyes and I never can listen to it just once! That song alone has a lot of meaning and Susan's singing if it made it even better! I love it that she fooled everyone that was pre-judging her. I am very proud of her for many reasons. It just goes to show that one should "never judge a book by it's cover"! Susan's courage brought her great gift to the world...something that we can all do well to remember!

The female judge said it best; "This is a wake up call". Susan stood with confidence and belted out a tune like no other. She could have chosen to hide her dreams from us all, never to bless us or even try to see her dream through. She could have been persuaded not to perform because of our skewed perception of success. Thankfully she persisted and charged our spirit. What a blessing!
I am proud of Susan and I too will full fill my dreams and become the great inventor of a invention that will be sold world wide. I don't think it was a accident that i click on to your link i know it was my destiny for me to meet with you and take the quatum jump into my destiny.

To had watched the great magnetic Susan Boyle on stage attending America got talent was breathe taking. Actually, i voted spiritually for her to win. Her courage in beliving herself when many were rolling their eyes gave me a great sense of value lesson (s) about life.Susan saw no one at that stage but her self which to me was the key. When others tends not to believe in you, always believe the dream is your and not theirs so to speak. Stand with faith and never count your self out hence the race is in motion even if you were left out alone,abandon,rejected, and resented,always believe your dreams and at times with just a drop of faith and persistence,all shall be rewarded in due season. Burt am not going to allow any one to make me drift from my dreams...i've noticed they're after something they did not gave to me neither was it meant to be theirs so i've concluded to just keep my eyes on the 'BALL' which is my dreams n happiness so to speak. Burt words are not enough to alert you how appreciative i am to you for your relentless effort in motivating me at least shows me some one unweighed cares enough to see me prosper in all i do positively. I actually took a walk to the park this morning was in solem meditation watching all the shreded leaves from the tree branches so dry and might think they need some rain...then, they spoke with me saying come back in full spring may be you will be smiling because we shall be smiling they said to me. Thank you Burt and yes "no condition is permanent" every dog has it own day so to speak thank a bunch. Amazing how we as humans fail to realize that all of God's gifts are hand wrapped in his own designer packaging.We inappropriately are so bent on judging
the gift by the package wrapping that we more often than not fail to even open the gift that awaits us inside. Age, size,height,skin color are but a few of God's designer wrappings.Don't be fooled by the outer wrappings...it has nothing to do with the GIFT INSIDE.Susan's voice is a gift from God and I love her designer wrap.
i was dumbfounded (and that's just putting it lightly), the moment the first notes came out from her mouth , my tears started streaming uncontrollably from my eyes through the whole song , i repeated the video for maybe about 5 times and i honestly finished the whole box of tissue paper for drying my eyes and my nose . this is the first video that moved me tremendously in my 62 years . coupled with the comments of the judges , she is a real live inspiration , not to mention the lesson that this video portrays , courage and determination . thank you so much for sharing .
Susan proved that she can do anything, just as I have and will continue. We must stop judging from the outside and look at the unlimited potential within!

Thanks Burt! The Susan Boyle story is so well-known, however it remains that for most people - inspiring that 'someone else' had the guts to be laughed at. When one decides to take massive action to change their life, their business, their situation - whatever it is - and spend time weighing up the pros and cons, being fearful....well it's time to watch Susan again, a lady who has nothing to lose...and it's a reality check - what are we waiting for? Everyone has the same amount of fear, hardship, etc. It is when one decides to stay behind and give it 'one more go' after the others have left, that the magic occurs - GO SUSAN! "Go" to all of you with dreams. From your deepest faith you'll find the strength to take the action and make the change happen!
Susan Boyle is amazing. She had the courage to stand up and sing. Her second album has been released and she is doing what she always wanted to do even though it took her many years to do it. We should not let thinking that we are too old to stand in our way.

Thank you so very much for sharing that with us today. You may never know how very much I needed to see it today of all days. I have seen the video many times and every time I cry through it all. She is an amazing woman to have had the courage to walk out onto that stange knowing what everyone would be saying and the looks on their faces. Seeing it again has given me hope and faith in myself. All my life I have wanted to write and so many times I have backed away from it. I am now 61 years old, have been taking writing classes and I am writing that book. I almost convinced myself in the past week to give up my dream again. I have added this video to my favorites on You Tube and I intend to watch it each time I falter. There is nothing we can not accomplish no matter our age or circumstance!!

I do know that was beautiful what happened to her. You know the laugh then the applauses. But more inportantly her personal quest as a singer. It is very unusual to succeed at 47 years old as a singer. perhaps instead inspiration it more like a lesson. in other words, anything can happen to us if we are prepared and talented at any age of our lifes. I did cry of joy when I saw her for the first time singing.

This video was truly amazing, the lady was actually.
She is so innocent pure and childlike, that is why everybody loved her. You did not show the video where she was in the final. By then she was a wreck. You have to be very strong to be in the world. She lost her happiness and her faith in mankind. A big price she had to pay for her success. Hope she will get the help to be happy again and be a singer as well.

I know the feeling. I have the ideal method for curing cancers. But, nobody in the scientific world takes my words seriously, to their own peril. That is why I have decided o go my own way of manifesting enough money to conduct the research and prove to the rest of the world about the significance of my findings. However, unfortunately, my own family members think that I am dreaming the impossible. I am not deterred by these disadvantages. I hope I am successful in my manifestations, so that I could prove to everybody that they are barking at the wrong tree, when it comes to curing cancers.

It's easy to feel when people put you down for your dreams that it's because your dreams are too big or you're too small. I think my dreams are the perfect size for me.
I,m from the UK I remember watching the programme in my bar in the canary islands, most people in the bar scoffed and laughed at her appearance, as she began to sing the wow factor hit everyone.
I must admit I,m not a fan of these tv shows or pop music in general, good for her though, ust goes to show you cannot judge a book by its cover

WOW ...Susan Boyle that was amazing, What an insperation. this video has really touched me personly .thank you so much Bert.
I love her and her story.....Snoop Dog is touring Europe, and he is going to record with her in London while he is there, can you imagine...lol! I am thrilled for her and what she has done. She is an amazingly talented woman.
I was so shocked when I first saw her sing. I thought she had the voice of an angel. But then as the weeks went on and seeing what she went through and all the different was people reacted to her I now admire her for sticking it out and for showing the world that it isn't what you see on the outside that matters it is what is on the inside that makes us who we are and Susan will for ever be an inspiration in my life and I am so happy for her. She had a dream and she kept on going till it was a reality. God bless you Susan from all of us who you have given inspiration to and helped just by sharing your self with the world.
