YES WE CAN, THIS THINGS ARE THE ONE WHICH MAKE YOU REALISE THAT HUMAN KIND IS NOT SO LOST, MORE OF THEM WE NEED, AND THEY ARE INSIDE OF US.
I have a son about the same age and he has cerebral palsy too but his case wasn't quite as bad as mr. Hoyt and he found a sport he excelled at (motocross) and he won a state championship race and over 300 trophies. Every time he fell it hurt me just as much as it hurt him but God gave
us the strength to keep going for over 10 years. The Hoyts are truly an unbelievable story and would make a wonderful movie !

The financial goals, yes...
I have a nephew who became a tetraplegic ten years ago, waiting for the day stem cell research might bring him back to what he was before a car accident forced him paralyzed from the neck down...
His father has devoted his life to him, by retiring from his job and spending just about every moment to him. They read the daily paper together and discuss world events, politics, scientific advancements, movies: you name it.
My sister has become the perfect cook, organic gardener, and homeopathic specialist to offer him some healthy and pleasurable experience at meal times...
Parents become heroes and overcome their personal limitations for their children, more than they would do for themselves.
This is inspiring to me, because it shows how sometimes we care for others more than we do for ourselves, which is touchy, but not necessarily the way we should overcome what we perceive as personal limitations...

Hi Bert, this is the third time I have recieved this over the past 12 months and watching it today, makes me feel so full of joy to see a Father showing such great love for his son. His son chose to come here at birth in the body he is in and he chose it for a reason perhaps to get the world to show compassion to all no matter what their ailments or their religion or creed anyone who watches this will I am sure feel the way I and so many others felt with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes, not because of pity but of the pride we must all feel seeing a fathers love for his children shown in such a manner, Be Brilliant

(it's nice to have a devoted parent that cares for his child), but the learning lesson in the story shows:
1- When you have God in your heart, your faith and believes take you very far in very positive-way...
2- You must have a very positive thinking,in order,to have a full content life with some very happy ending....

I said I wouldn't cry or be sad today, but show joy for the gift of my granddaughter Jessica who I lost a year ago today (2/21/10).
She would have been 13 that July 16th.
Jessica was a beautiful and loving child. Loving and caring for everyone.
She passed from a convulsive seizure, while visiting with me over the week-end. It was heart breaking.
Watching the tape on the Hoyt Team/Family was Super Extraordinary.I cried for their joy of such a loving family, and for the loss of my granddaughter, who didn't get a fraction of that love from her family. (sad to say, but the truth}.
Our loving involvement with God show the possibilities for all of us. (If we choose).

Thankyou so much for this great video, It mooved me so much. Rick is so lucky to have such a wonderful father. My son was born with a desability I only wished that his father would have been 1/10 of the person Dick is. The world would be such a better place if they were like Dick and Rick, a true inspiration of love and passion.
For years I worked with what the world thought of as defective children with no ability to think, learn or accomplish anything. I learned so much from them and received such overwhelming love and joy to be part of their efforts to be the best they could be. I inspired me to be the best me I could be. Over the years, I have assisted in the delivery of hundreds of infants. I still cry tears of joy at each delivery when I see the beautiful miracle of birth. Before each delivery I say a ferverant prayer that all will go well, and the baby will be O.K. On rare occasions, birth trauma may occur which is every doctors' and nurses' worst heartache, not to mention the parents. This video shows what courage and love the father has for his beautiful gift from God. All those who partake in applauding his life and accomplishments are raised to a higher level no doubt. I feel blessed and honored to have been inspired by this family. This video came to me on a day that I needed it badly.. It affirmed for me the fact that we are dealt a hand, and sometimes it is a very difficut one. It comes with a lesson to be learned and a chance to give, grow and become stronger and RECEIVE a greater gift than the one we give. Thank you Burt. Fantastic, it shows how a person can be attached to his progeniture, and how this strong bond of love can make the stronger one do everyhting to be together throughout the hardest parts of life. Today in normal society, youths want to be away from their parents as soon as they get the 18th birthday. Parents want to live their lives away from the children, who are becoming too conflict-creating entities.
Nothing outside his son has attracted him more than his son. It is this desire to show the world that such a small incident as an umbilical chord around the neck at birth can be so devastating to a whole life of a new born. He has transformed this great handicapped situation into an enormous opportunity to sensitize the whole world on will-power, hard work, concentration on a goal.
We must learn from this video how small incidents can affect whole developments. Today, in this modern world, we talked about anticipation all the time to cater for the worst scenario, but the world is more and more endangering its own survival.
Look at the catastrophe of the oil spillage under the sea. We shall have to bear with all the consequences. Nobody can leave the place where he has shit. He must clean the place. This is the greatest sense of responsibility. Nick's father want us to be responsible citizen. Errors can happen, but so long as we breathe, we must work hard to satisfy our creations. Quantum jumping must have helped a lot in this case to inspire the father to move forward with love and inspiration to enable his son to see the whole world and become a hero in turn.
This proves that nothing is impossible. In my heart,Rick has no disabilites, he has done more then alot of people have dreamed of doing, Rick and his dad are a true inspiration to many. Rick made a perfect choice when he selected his parents. God Bless them.

Yes I do i believe I IF the Spirit of God is in me i have no other choice but to look up and move on with wisdom Knowlege and Understanding with connect us with God. Your teachings has a new calling in my life and for the others around me. I will use that passion and Will power from now on what i have learn inside myself and from your Teachings.
